This is excellent. What an absolutely botched up investigation. This is the first REAL conversation that I have heard about this case. I have always wondered about the head blow. HOW could an injury that fatal cause absolutely no breakage of the head. They state that a hit with an instrument could not have done that. Only a flat surface would have caused that injury. Excellent video.

I am so confused about the clothing JB slept in. In the Linda Arndt's report and also the other male detective's (forgot his name) report, John an Patsy both claimed she had a red turtleneck on (I do not understand why would she be in that red sweater, because she had not worn it at the party). Later, they claimed they redressed JB into white longjohns and left the white star shirt she had worn to the party on. Just removed the black velvet vest and pants. I wonder why they changed the story and which one is true. The longjohns are obviously boy's and Burke's.

Sounds like the red sweatshirt is either real evidence that’s been covered up.. or could have been part of the coverup but later changed for some reason. I always assumed the red fibers found within the ligature of the garrote came from Patsys red Christmas jacket. I never knew there were statements about JBR having worn a red sweater

6:50 - - Despite the BPD press releases, the program says it doesn't appear the Ramseys are cooperating with the police. We know that comes from Steve Thomas - - they weren't confessing and in his mind, they weren't cooperating. Ugh.

No what that means is that the Ramseys had more money than most people when it comes to public defenders. Their lawyers were able to drag this case along every step of the way.. the average person convicted of a crime would never be afforded these opportunities of bypassing laws in this manner

Have to leave for a bit and just a quarter of the way into this. The head injury was not from falling into a tub or against a wall - - there was a HOLE in her skull - she was struck by something that could leave that hole. And there's no evidence she was wiped down - the fibers showed the man was wearing something dark blue - - or had been in contact with that item recently. But no smears showed she had been wiped at all. That was BORG talk. Back later.

The note - - I don't think it was written by anyone's off hand - - not as long as it is. The hand would cramp. Also, the killer had to be on an adrenolin rush and would not write that after the murder. No sense to write it to leave with the body in the house. yes, the paper and pen were in the house, belonged to the family and were available to anyone in the house that night, family or intruder. To me, if a parent was writing that after murdering JonBenet, it would be less than pristine, it would be covered in tears. JonBenet's name would be in it and the ransom would be for a million. The body would have been removed from the house, easy to do since the garage was attached to the house. Lots of wild areas and revines to drop it into.

Since the pineapple was not found in the stomach but further along, it is clear it was not eaten shortly before the murder. Fleet doesn't remember pineapple being served at his house, The Ramseys don't remember it being served there. But there WAS pineapple at the Ramsey house and most likely was eaten by JonBenet before they went to the Whites. To me, it is a red herring, unrelated to the murder.
@marmun6435
@marmun6435 8 ай бұрын
The autopsy report didn't say it was exactly pineapple. They said it was fragments of fruit such as cherries, grapes,pineapple like she had eaten a fruit cocktail or it could be vegetables. People just distorted that and went right with pineapple because the pineapple was on the counter but the pineapple on counter apparently looked untouched.

There was never any evidence found of Patsy Ramsey using the phrase "and hence" before the murder. As for AFTER.... 2000 March 18 John and Patsy Ramsey book "Death of Innocence" DOI (HB) Page 234: "John and I wrote message of appreciation to our friends to be printed on the back of the liturgy of the day. We thanked the people for their support through the past year and expressed how much their love had meant to us. We also commended on the meaning of the Christmas season and why it was important to remember the real season we celebrate this time of the year. In composing this expression of appreciation, John and I had each written a version. With both copies in hand, John dictated and I typed at the computer as we merged the two into one. Later Susan Stine and Roxy Walker made a few edits as they type it into the liturgical program. This edited version included the phrase and, hence. Those two words turned out to be the next bombshell!" "Actually, I have no idea why we used that phrase. Maybe we'd seen it so many times in reading the ransom note - and having to write it over and over again for the police - that it became a part of our own subconscious vocabulary. Who know? Then again, maybe people everywhere use the phrase and, hence everyday of the week, because it's a normal part of the English language. The fact we used any set of words in our statement meant nothing more than an attempt to convey our personal feelings at the moment we were writing."

Definitely Patsy: probably got pissed off over her bed-wetting, exhausted from the holidays and packing for the next day’s travel. The use of “and, hence” in the note and her private writings is surely unique and particularly damning.

The bed was not wet. The experts did not conclude that Patsy wrote the note. The evidence is that she was hit on the head while being strangled. Patsy did not kill her daughter.

Everyone thinks bed-wetting. Being a former rambunctious kid, just being out of bed was enough to be yelled at. I think JB goes downstairs she sees Burke and complains about him being aloud to stay up is "unfair". Maybe she snatches a peice of Burke's pineapple then runs causing him to chase and club her with the flashlight? I doubt it though I think she had time to start digesting it, so her and Burke must have been somewhat cordial in the kitchen together. At this point I believe JonBenet went back to her bed for a little bit, but ultimately got back up. Now wether it was Burke she ran into, and he was like "I'm telling your our of bed again" or maybe Patsy caught her again playing with Burke. I'm sure she was feeling overwhelmed with the holidays, and having to be on the road early in the morning with young kids while you do it all as a mother is not easy. She knows her daughter better than anyone and little Jonbenet was probably kind of slow in the morning and needed lots of help to get ready. Patsy knows Burke probably gets ready faster being older, she knows JB will be slow and the idea of stressing out because her daughter did not obey her the night before makes her suddenly more furious than she's ever been. I don't know what happened next. But I believe what Patsy started John finished. Patsy commited a manslaughter and I believe john covered it up because he is a pedophile who was abusing his daughter. John understood that being perceived as a pedophile was game over. Patsy understood that her perfectly crafted family image would shatter, and these people care more about perception than their daughter.

The group works hard to explain what an intruder wouldn't do - - - one says a psychotic person couldn't go in and up the stair and down the stairs and -- why NOT??? He may be psychotic, not paralyzed. Seriously, they aren't looking at the fact that parents don't kill by garrote, that they have some pathology that comes out when they are investigated. That didn't happen in this case but it doesn't matter, these people are BORG and beyond redemption.

25 years after this show aired, I want to point out the errors in it - - not because John Walsh and his team did a bad job but because they were relying on a false witness to begin with - - someone from the BPD who not only hid the fact that there WAS DNA found, and it cleared the Ramseys, but also put out bad information to make it seem the parents were lying. For example, the program has Patsy carrying JonBenet to her room - - and the clothing is all wrong . They have JonBenet in a red top - - it was white. They show her legs as she is being carried, but she was dressed in long pants. May seem insignificnt but in the grand scheme of things, it was HUGE. The general public attacked the Ramseys for "lying" about tht red shirt (and other things put in this show. More to come.

The program has the strangulation taking place after a head blow that would have caused instand unconsciousness. The claw marks on her neck as she tried to get free of the garrote says that is wrong. Again, John Walsh was depending on a false witness. And many MANY viewers took it to be true. It added to the hate being heaped on the family.

The program has Patsy leaning over to pick up the note from a lower step. Close to impossible and not how she said it happened. She stepped over the stair with the papers on it, turned and picked up the note. I have been in the house, put papers on one of the steps and easily skipped that step. Patsy's story works but the clip makes it look like an improbable event.

Less than three minutes in - - more misinformation. John is reported to have gone to the basement and opened ONE DOOR wheere he found JonBenet's body. John had gone to the basement and started a methodical search by going down the hall to the right, then through the train room into the art supply store room, then back to the bottom of the stairs to go down the last hall. He had opened more than one door before finding the body. Again, doesn't matter much except people said he went straight to the body becuse he knew where she was. He did a search, as asked. but the BORG tried to make him look guilty.

They apparently read it bent over or on their knees , kneeling whatever, but they never picked it up. There were no fingerprints found on the ransom note. This case is so bewildering on so many levels. Even if ppl study it for years, they still miss out on some subtle information and get other facts wrong. Only because it's so weird . Shame the young victim will never find any justice. Too much time has passed, and it didn't help the Boulder police botched the investigation from the get go.

Judith Phillips HAD been a friend of Patsy Ramsey. They knew each other for years because Judith's long-suffering husband, Robert, was a lawyer who did some work for John Ramsey. Close friends? I would not say that. They had very different ideas on some basic issues related to moral issues like adultery and abortion as well as drugs. But that doesn't matter a whole lot at the moment - - Judith started out defending the Ramseys and when she found herself removed from the "inner circle", she retaliated with a barrage of verbal pronouncements that held NO evidence of Ramsey guilt. Patsy had taunted Kaarma, she didn't recycle or give enough when she had been blessed so often. Judith sold photos knowing the Ramseys didn't want her to, she gained a lot of money, found a new set of BORG friends and that ended in a divorce and an interesting second marriage to one of Darnay Hoffman's bogus handwriting "experts". So much for Judith "judas" Phillips.
