THIS by far was the most insane fishing trip I have yet to experience. Ever since I learned about white sturgeon a few years ago I've wanted encounter one in person. Their size, their history, and their reputation..everything about these fish drew in my attention. During my last trip to Florida I brought up the idea to Rob (LunkersTV) and we both agreed we needed to make this trip happen. Our goal was not only to catch one of these living fossils but to be able to document the whole excursion on video. We found Kevin with Sturgeon slayers via Instagram and booked two open days that he had in October. fast forward a little over a month from when we book the trip we ended up driving to BC from Seattle to take on the white sturgeon with the expertise and guidance of Kevin. The rest is history and a moment I will never forget. I encourage all of you out there to hit the road, fly to a lake, or just hop on a bike and do some exploring. There is SO much fishing to be done out there and why not try to experience it all? Shout out to Kevin, Peric, and Rob for helping me land this fishing and capturing the whole thing on camera. I caught a 10 plus foot 400 plus lb sturgeon on the Columbia in Oregon on vacation with my dad , the guide said it was the largest he had seen in his 25 years on river. So crazy it took me and my dad 90 minutes together to get it in, we were so tired and it pulled us 6 miles down river. Craziest part it was our last rod to pull in of 6 at the end of our 6 our trip and we already had called my mom to pick us up lol we called her back and said nevermind were gonna be a while. Haha
