I was pretty far back enjoying the rest of the place, beer gardens, smoking. I remember seeing Maynard just going nuts and thinking that I need to look into this band some more. Other acts that were there (but may have been at the following or previous year) were Porno for Pyros, Social distortion, Stone Temple Pilots, Chokebore, Blind Melon...probably more. The stage was facing the Koolau mountain range. Our view was the Pacific Ocean and Chinamans Hat (a small islet) and a hurricane was approaching. It rarely got much better than that. Great lineup, amazing setting. Impending doom. Now I am old and agreeing with my wife that we should try to catch Nora Jones sometime, somewhere. smh
