I remember the first time I saw Johnny Lang. It was well over 20 years at the Beale Street blues weekend in Memphis. He was still a teenager then, to this day one of the most awesome performances by a young performer I have ever seen. This was a teenager who knew completely who he was, what kind of music he was playing, and what kind of Personna he was fronting.And an absolute command of the instrument and stage presence personified. Seen him in concert a few years later over here in Nashville. Also a very solid performance. Got a couple of his albums. Overdue to listen to one I’ll see y’all later…
