Good video Visiting parents for the holidays and the upstairs bathroom sink stopped draining. Took apart the pipes under the sink and cleaned them out. Rain a snake down the pipe that comes out of the wall and collected a lot of gunk. Put everything back together and poured four cups of vinegar down the drain followed by a full kettle of hot water. Did this twice. Drains super fast now! Merry Christmas Jonny.

I've had a problem with my tub drain forever. I've used chemicals for temporary help. My sink and tub drain out the same main, the sink has no problem. I am sure I am hitting something metal at some point. I've used a snake and auger and a drain brush that reaches about 15". Nothing. I'm going for the big guns tomorrow. Muriatic acid should do it. Bought a big socket type thing, that says its to remove this, but no matter how hard I twist, it wont come off, even tried penetrating oil, and a blow torch to try and loosen it..nothing !!! Any suggestions to getting this out, other than a saws all and cutting it out ?
@JonnyDIY6 ай бұрын
If you get the bladder with the adapter like one I left linl in description to you dont need to remove cross piece. If need to get it out though, not sure if you got the socket that has the cross piece adapter, I'd try that one. It should come out unless its rusted on to metal. I got an old one off that had to be 50+ years before. Hmm. If get right socket could try it on an impact gun too, impact usually knocks things loose. Last resort would be cutting out

My drain is very old, I followed your method, open it, but there is no connected stuff (to pull out the weight) , possible the stuff broken, down to the u-tube and clog the drain?
