I have a question for you. Bi glueing the drawer bottoms will that not allow for expansion and contraction and maybe cause buckling ? I was always told not to glue drawer bottoms
@robertwilliams8974
@robertwilliams8974 4 жыл бұрын
Howdy Frank, I believe because Jon used plywood for the drawer bottom, it is ok because ply is more dimensionally stable than a thin piece of solid timber.

I plan to build essentially this but use some hard wood slabs glued together for the table top and the legs don't have the tapers on them, for a food prep table in the corner of my kitchen. The slabs are pretty heavy and will need 4"x4" legs and I was curious about what lumber & sizes you used to run between the legs?
@JonPetersArtHome

Hello Jon. I bought the plans for your table, but i can not print them out. Every time i try and print them i get nothing but black pages so much that i run out of black ink. I have tried different ways and methods and also went and saved it as a PDF file again. But no luck. Any ideas?

I think you might have something there (besides another great piece). The quick and dirty supplement with the longer video OR maybe even just the segment format that you have been doing. I think that might be a neat way to end a/the collection. Stack the segments in the notes and a little visual text reference during nthe summary video calling them out by name. I,like most of you subscribers, will likely watch all the stuff when it comes out BUT someone that trips across the shorty would have a place to catch the indepth techniques...and the reminders as we get older don't hurt either. Also, maybe slow the video cuts down just a hair...some of them were a little hard to grab everything in the frame before the next cut. Seriously...you could really have something there.
