PICTURE YOUR BEST DAY ON EARTH TIMES A BILLION FOR ETERNITY, THAT'S HEAVEN! NOW PICTURE YOUR WORST DAY ON EARTH TIMES A BILLION FOR ETERNITY, THAT'S HELL! HE WILL GIVE YOU WHAT YOU WANT SO IF YOU REJECT HIM YOU WILL BE SEPARATED FROM HIM & HIS BLESSINGS (LOVE, PEACE, JOY, HOPE, REST, ETC). IN HELL YOU WILL BE ALONE WITHOUT GOD OR PEOPLE... YOU WILL BE HOPELESS, IN DESPAIR & AGONY FOREVER! GOD'S STANDARD FOR HEAVEN IS PERFECTION AND ONLY JESUS (THE SON OF GOD/GOD IN THE FLESH) LIVED THAT PERFECT LIFE! HE LAID DOWN HIS LIFE & TOOK THE WRATH OF THE FATHER ON THE CROSS FOR YOUR SINS! GOD IS JUST SO HE MUST PUNISH SIN & HE IS HOLY SO NO SIN CAN ENTER HIS KINGDOM OF HEAVEN. IF YOU ARE IN CHRIST ON JUDGEMENT DAY GOD WILL SEE YOU AS HIS PERFECT SON (SINLESS SINCE YOUR SINS ARE COVERED BY JESUS' OFFERING). YOU CAN ALSO CHOOSE TO REJECT JESUS' GIFT/SACRIFICE & PAY FOR YOUR OWN SIN WITH DEATH (HELL) BUT THAT SEEMS PRETTY FOOLISH! GOD SEES & HEARS EVERYTHING YOU HAVE SAID & DONE. YOU WONT WIN AN ARGUMENT WITH HIM & YOU CANT DEFEND ANY OF YOUR SINS TO HIM. YOU'RE NOT A GOOD PERSON, I'M NOT A GOOD PERSON... ONLY GOD IS GOOD! PREPARE YOURSELVES, TURN FROM SIN & RUN TO JESUS! HE KNOWS YOUR PAIN & TROUBLES, HE WANTS TO HEAL & RESTORE YOU! TALK TO HIM LIKE A BEST FRIEND! ASK HIM TO REVEAL HIMSELF TO YOU & HELP YOU TO BELIEVE IF YOU DOUBT! DON'T WAIT TO CRY OUT! NO ONE IS PROMISED TOMORROW! HE LONGS FOR YOU TO INVITE HIM IN, HE LOVES YOU MORE THAN ANY PERSON EVER COULD, HE CREATED YOU! Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."-John 14:6 "But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven."-Matthew 10:33 “For the wages of sin is death (hell), but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord”-Romans 6:23

@@onyxsuccubus Like honestly to me simulation theory isn't very useful. It's a fun thought experiment, but it's not falsifiable so pretty much is no different than religions claiming there are gods/supernatural being we can't measure and thus not disprove. Unfortunately, he isn't even doing a good job presenting actual simulation theory and seems more like he is a stoner who just heard a bunch of different thought experiments and went woah that's cool and jumbled them all up together in his mind. Also simulation theory can be reduced to a pretty simple explanation. If we build simulations and those simulations get to the point where the simulations end up generating their own generations and so forth then once there are multiple levels of simulations in the chain the odds of ours being the first approach null meaning it's almost guaranteed we are in a simulation. However until we actually manage to build a simulation that can contain a similarly complex simulation it generated itself from within this hasn't been proven to be likely yet. So spending serious consideration on that point until such a time has arrived is simply a waste. Secondly if it does get proven true then the question becomes well what does that mean for us. Pretty much we get two options are we going to just say whatever and live our lives or do we try to either communicate or travel up the chain of simulations in hopes of reaching the top layer or even escaping the simulation chain completely? One thing to question though is if there is any value in trying to move up the chain, because if we are lower on the chain the most likely reason why our simulation is still going is that the civilisation in simulation running our simulation hasn't managed to escape up yet and if they haven't what are the odds that we later to the game would manage what they haven't succeeded at?

They got the worst person to oppose the simulation guy. They carry so much unnecessary baggage, and their rejection of simulation is not through any scientific rigor. "AI couldn't possibly simulate emotions!" 1. Emotions are not signs of higher existence. They are byproducts of our cooperative evolution. This isn't the endgoal of an AI. They don't need to have robot sex to be smart. 2. Yes they can. Obviously. You have a computer in your head, right now. We can look at the parts. Pretending that the grey slab of beef rattling around in pickle juice is some incomprehensible artifact is moronic. We could probably eventually recreate a brain in a lab anyway, which would be an "artifical" intelligence. 3. Eats chicken bones. Probably one of the dark triad traits. Can't trust them.
@SpencerLemay2 жыл бұрын
The question itself doesn't make sense. Reality as we know it, is an abstraction based on our senses filtered by our minds. Regardless of whether some civilization is running us on a super computer or not makes no difference. What about the higher reality that contains us even makes it more real? The word simulation just means an abstraction of a part of our reality. If you think about it, simulations are real. They are created by the interactions of real things in our real world, so are real. The same would apply to us. If we were unplugged from the Matrix or whatever there would be no logical reason to say that you are experiencing something more real. Does the idea of something being realer than something else even make sense? A toy guy isn't real, but real guns aren't real either I guess, can we say for sure real real guns are real? If our universe is not real, nothing can be real. All solid matter is just particles in various states and positions fed to us by our senses, all unplugging from the matrix does is just show you more particles in various states and positions positioning our particles. The question is a quirk of language, that doesn't imply anything concrete. It's all a spook I say! If the movie Tron or Reboot actually happened, would the little people having their little adventures all be simulated even though they seem to do all the things we do? It's like that no true scotsman fallacy. If all scotsman are simulated was there ever a real scotsman? We already know that asking someone to define what a real Scotsman would do is fallacious. Even in Plato's allegory of the cave, the cave with the shadow puppets still exists in the same world as the truth.

All of the assistants are SOO bad. Siri, Google. Bixby, etc- doesn't matter. They havent progressed at all since 2010. Once they got the simple shit like "call mom" down they clapped the crumbs off their hands and moved on to sitting around and collecting paychecks. Anything beyond what they've immediately programmed simply does not work, which is so useless it makes it angry to use it. Why can I not say "Open Facebook Messenger and send a message to Bob of the link in my clipboard" in 2022?! Hell, most of the time the simple command of "play" is returned with "SOMETHING WENT WRONG! IDK DROP EVERYTHING AND FIGURE IT OUT" and then I hit the play button on my bluetooth and it just works. How has no one blown the doors off these dumb-as-rocks assistants? ugh /rant

Scheodinger’s thought experiment was actually to demonstrate that a particle existing in two states at the same time until observed was a ridiculous idea. For some reason. People understood his experiment to represent the exact opposite.
@bingyifg2 жыл бұрын
its not really people understood the exact opposite it's more of as we furthered our understanding of quantum physics, we realized what he said actually works that the idea was not as ridiculous as Schrodinger thought it was.
