I have just taken delivery of my second order of Batiks jelly roll, and a length of batik fabric from Jordan fabric. It is absolutely beautiful, very colourful, good quality. Just trying to decide on a pattern. The delivery arrived 1 week earlier than quoted. Very prompt service, very good quality. Will definitely order again soon 😊

There are over 400 comments so far. I've not read all of them. I have a suggestion to save one step in cutting. Sew together the 2 strips that you're cutting into 2.5" squares. That way you won't lose any small squares (yes from personal experience). Once sewn together, keep strip closed and cut into 2.5" squares. Center is done. You can press sewn strip first before cutting to relax strip if you want. I've done this and it turned out fine.

Shirley Sarradet Hi Shirley, your post touched me, so I just had to message you. I am a member of a quilting group and we have quite a few ladies over 80 years young who have a wealth of knowledge to pass to us youngsters (70 years plus) ha ha. Of course we cannot meet at the moment and don’t think we will see each other again this year but hopefully things will get better soon.😊

Certainly you can. There are numerous super simple 2 and 3 color quilt patterns you can make in 1 to 2 days. They look difficult but are not. Google Donna Jordan, quilting. I could teach you by phone in 10 minutes. GOD bless.

Back in the ‘70’s Eleanor Burns started a whole movement with her Log Cabin quilt and ripping strips into 2 1/2 inch strips. With the Jelly Rolls this is already done for you and you have very little waste. Made at least 5 of these quilts in the ‘70’s.

I gotta do one like this. BTY, I am just starting to quilt, but I am a crafter of all types of crafts and I made garment when I was a LOT younger, so I have no fear that I can't do these. I have to admit for a larger store I’d say you are like compared to some other videos and shops I’ve seen I have to admit I’m very impressed ! You didn’t have tons of tools to press buyers to buy ! I’m sorry but it’s true ! Don’t get me wrong ! I’ve just started and wanting to make quilts but there are so many out here today amd for the average person we can’t allways afford the extra tools needed ! I get so frustrated cause it seems they inspire you to buy the fabrics and tools which is fine but it’s just it seems to complex but you made this very easy to understand and anyone who hasn’t every size of square and special tools ! Which I’m dieing for the creative grids tools I’s what over time I’d like to get ! But ty so much I really mean this ! Buying the fabrics along with a machine can add up ! I was talked into buying two machines and but promised lessons and they set them back so far and then they rush ya abs there more worried about the buyers coming in to buy more ! It honestly hurts your feelings cause you pay a decent amount for these machines and then it seems your just tossed out on your own ! Unless you have $ for classes but we can’t all afford classes and I see videos agsin but they seem so complex and they teach by buying all of these tools ! One day I’d live to buy a log cabin tool don’t get me worng but I’d like to learn some small projects to make cause I can’t afford to waist any fabrics ya know I’ve been trying to build a stash ! I regret now I was interested in making clothes and now I wished all that time and $ was spent on solely quilt fabrics ! Let face it I’ve heard nothing but designer fabrics will sew up to look right ! Anyways sorry for the large comment but this is truly the first I’ve seen without even links to buy a list of items who can afford in one shot ! It just seems like they Inspire you but your pushed to pay for classes and some of us aren’t in a position to be able to so ty so much ! I may very much try to make this pattern ! Quilt ! God bless and stay safe amd likes and suscribed as well honey

Love your videos! You have such a natural flare for teaching. Your style is friendly, helpful and informative but (thankfully) without a lot of excess chat that doesn't add to the tutorial. Great job and great videos!

WOW! I have made several log cabin quilts and I thought I had streamlined the process, but you made it sooooo easy from cutting to sewing to ironing. I have never used a jelly roll set, always cut individual pieces, but I will definitely be trying this. thank you so much. your quilts are so beautiful.
