I agree: that episode gave me more "Horde faction pride" than the whole WoW since the Battle of Undercity during Wrath (when Thrall soloed the demon infested UC). After all the crap with MoP Garrosh and Sylvanas, we need a TRUE Warcfief (Vol'jin could've been good, but they totally wasted him).

Well tbf, a big part of why these become so complex is that there's no actual gameplay in this to fill it out, so the whole thing becomes one long cutscene, whereas reforged will just have the actual cutscenes be cutscenes.

Mr. Rawke ye, there is lot of added combat in these (which is awesome way to add something to these episodes) but Reforged cutscenes are only ofc going to be about the dialogue. But ye they take nothing away from this and vice versa

Thats right. Thrall wasn't a savage orc conquerer type not because he was a nice guy who "respects the sanctity of life" or is always "good". He was diplomatic and avoided conflict because he was a masterful statesman who knew that running headlong into any possible conflict was a sure way to get all his people killed. It was this shrew strategy that built the horde from a rabble of freed convicts and refugees into the global multinational empire that it would become. With all that being said, he wasn't a pussy hippie shaman like they made him out to be today. He was a badass mutha fucka that was more than willing to slaughter any human that got in his way (RIP admiral proudmore). The decline of his character at the hands or blizzard's inept new writing staff is one of the biggest tragedies of the franchise, and pretty much initiate the fall of WoW's Durotar orcs from being intelligent (arguably more intelligent than the humans in several aspects), strategic and honorable warriors (REAL honor, sparing captives, fighting only the strong and fighting only when necessary, not this DIE COATED IN THE BLOOD OF MY ENEMIES WAR WAR WAR bullshit of today) to pretty much being the typical blood thirsty brutes that they are generically depicted as in most fantasy genres.

Too epic! I really dreamt about this for a long time! It would be totally amazing if every Lore story of Warcraft 1, 2 (and expansion), 3 (and expansion) and the whole WoW story could be told through this kinda movies/cinematics. Reign of Chaos is such a great story, even for those unfamiliare with warcraft lore but fans of fantasy, I was and had no real clue about the lore when I played wc3 but it had me hooked. It was easy to follow, had convincing settings and was easy to digest, kinda like GOT. From a neutral strandpoint, the story pretty much breaks down like this: The orcs supposedly had lost a great war and were living as hidden tribes. The land was built upon several realms with the typical fantasy roles. They were largely at peace even tho trouble was brewing, a prophet tells them of the apocalypse, plague starts to spread across the land, Dawn of the dead begins. Prince goes insane to find the source. He becomes anakin skywalker, undeath is murdering each kingdom as Anakin skywalker follows the mysterious instructions, it is revealed that a great demonic loctus swarm army is behind it, Everyone dies, a handful of survivors esapes to the east. The Loctus swam army arrives and kills everything. The orcs are led by a devout leader plus a great but reckless leader, they follow instructions and evacuate. They try to survive in a new undiscovered Americas, they try to find out what is going on. They meet up with the human survivors. They split up, reckless leader goes north, devout goes west. an ancient civilization is found, reckless leader succumbs and becomes Anakin skywalker x2. Devout leader joins forces with human survivors and manage to save him. Loctus swam army arrives, survivors narrowly escapes north, a significant captain of the demons is dramaticly slain. Ancient civilization manages to brace itself and starts to rally the incoming survivors, they release a terrible but powerful warrior locked ofr 10.000 years because he is just that terrible and powerful. Powerful dude destroys the undeath with ease but chooses to become Anakin Skywalker x3 but choose not to fight because of love. Loctus swarm army prepares for the final kill, all survivors join up and fights on the mountain. Ancient druid guy with the most experience since thousands of previous battles with the demonic swarm manages to set a trap during the apocalyptic fight. Loctus swarm army is destroyed The world will heal in time....

It would definetly fit in either in the timeline between the massacre of stratholm and arthas sailing to northrend, or the timeline of when he is wandering around the wastes of Northrend after slaying Mal'ganis and lose the last of his sanity before returning home. Regardless, we need to have the troll island skirmish otherwise there will be no explaination of how the trolls became members of the horde, and it will also move focus away from the humans for a period and return to the orc arc (so that the intermission wont be too great from this episode to the future landing on Kalimdor episode)

What i liked the most is that little moment when Varok Saurfang and his son pass by. His son just go on, either lusting for new lands to explore and fight on, or just getting on with it and leave the Eastern Kingdoms. But Varok stops, salute his warchief, wait for Thrall to salute back, and only after he proceeds to the ship.
