Hey Jose: I hang out alone at the ice cream place. Maybe a gal will stop and talk with me?!? Some I have seen around and they say hola, cómo estás?? One smiled and said “adios.” I wonder sometimes about that word. When I pass some shops and people say “adios” it is almost like the don’t want to be interrupted and just want you to keep passing by without stopping to talk. I can get going to much and talk more than they want to listen maybe. They just don’t know that I am trying to “stay awesome.” ❤😂😮

The massive problem with mexico is that is living in a bubble meaning they have taken the manufacturing from the usa at the same time they make billions through the sales of narcotics and moving all the illegal migrant sex slaves and they are also destroying the manufacturing base in central america selling their goods but not buying anything from them but what happens when all this stops you will have poverty beyond believe because this will stop eventually.....

Your 100% right. I moved to Mexico 7 months ago. I sold everything and came to Mexico with 2 siutcases and I have never been happier. I see people here and they are happier and more family oriented and don't have as much. In the US I was so stressed with politics and every day worries. My biggest stress here is how much cream should I put in my coffee in the morning. Thank you so much for helping people better understanding the way of life in Mexico. 😊

Yes, in many cultures family is more important than in the USA. One aspect about Mexico that I notice is the way families take care of their elders. It is so common for grandparents to live with their adult kids that you don't even notice it. That is very common in the Hispanic and Italian communities in the USA but it is nice to see it on a national level in Mexico.

Same here. In December, i came to Mexico for the first time. While i traveled to 38 countries in the world, i was never interested in Mexico because of the US media propaganda. 5 months after i visited Mexico, i went back home, packed my stuff and moved to Mexico. I never been so happy. I love Mexico

The nice thing about Mexico is that the people are religious, family-oriented, and have a strong work ethic. This does not describe a lot of Americans, especially in the big cities. In my Merida neighborhood, there is the woman who has used clothing for sale on the front patio of her house. There are the men who go around and trim bushes and yards with machetes. Downtown there are women who walk with bundles embroidery blouses which they sell. There are people who go around on trash day and gather plastic bottles to sell. Regulations in America make housing extremely expensive, especially in California. Houses have lot size requirements, building codes, and maintenance requirements that make owning a home very expensive. In Merida, people can wait to add on or fix their house until they have the money. Where I live is a house which has been subdivided into three apartments. That would never be allowed in most neighborhoods in America. Too many city governments in America want everything in their City to be perfect, even if it means people cannot have housing or cannot afford to live there. One of the worst American beliefs is that the condition of the house next door affects your property value. As a result, people are constantly monitoring their neighbor's property and using the city code police to force everyone to have the perfect little house. I like Mexico and want to live there for a long time.

Hello Jose! As you know I am currently living in Mexico and traveling around a bit. I have certainly noticed how Family gatherings are SO much more often here! Neighbors and friends often drop in when they hear the music or laughter coming from the home... I really think the biggest change I have noticed having traveled here over the past 40 years is that the MIDDLE CLASS is LEADER !! It used to be more poor than now.. Lots of Upper-class also and perhaps they now outnumber the Poor. People are quick to start up a small business and make a living.

I was recently in Ensenada and decided to grab some snacks from the 7 eleven to bring back home to my family. I was surprised to see that popular chips such as Cheetos have a big warning on the front of the bag stating that they contain an excessive amount of calories and sodium. In the USA we don’t have such warnings, but we really should. Maybe it would deter some people from eating unhealthy snacks often.

Everywhere I go here in the US, I see homeless people. Even in my smallish town of 16k there are homeless people. I was most recently surprised yet again when I was in Miami. There was a parking lot of homeless people living in cars. I counted at least 20 cars of people sleeping in the middle of the night. And then there were people sleeping at McDonald's and in tents. It's both heartbreaking and baffling especially as our government continues to send billions to Ukraine and other countries. #BrokenUSA

I was living in Grand Junction, Colorado, a small city on the Western slope of the Rockies. The homeless are filling the parks and playgrounds with tents. They drink and party as the children play on the playgrounds. You don't need your own needle to shoot dope. They are laying around all over the place. It is worse than San Francisco back in the 1980s. What I recently hated most about the US are the chemtrails. Some days 100s of jets will fly over that small city and spray something in the sky until the sky turns into a mucky overcast. When I flew to Dallas to change flights, I saw more chemtrails. They have to be coming from the US air force. And yet, the people still think China is their enemy. The enemy of the American people is the government. That has been the case for a long time, but it is only getting worse.

I've heard that it's somewhat difficult to rent an apartment in Mexico. For example, many Landlords require a personal guarantor to be on the lease. Secondly, Tenants have fewer rights in Mexico. I've heard that if a Tenant doesn't pay the rent the Landlord has the legal right to enter into your apartment and take or remove your belongings on his own.
@JoseArteagaTravels Жыл бұрын
It is actually the complete opposite. It is very easy to rent out here as a foreigner and when it comes to evictions it is almost imposible for someone to get evicted. Of course it varies from region to region, but for the most part it is the opposite of what you have been hearing. I have other videos that go more in depth on this topic, you should check them out. Hope this info helps!

That is the way it should be. Tenant laws in Canada are stupid. I had 3 homes and had to sell. Not worth the headache of a bad tenant.
@jcas Жыл бұрын
Actually is not the case. As a native yucatecan, I can say that the land lord has fewer rights than in the States. If a person decides not to pay rent they can stay there forever and the landlord has to take legal action to take their property back. That is why when you rent the landlord will ask you for some warranties, like paying 2 or 3 months worth of rent in advanced or asking you for some guy to force to pay if you don't pay. It is actually a problem here and it is causing the rents to go pricier because of the risks. sorry for my bad english.
@DougPVlogs Жыл бұрын
Wow, that is bad. I used to own rental houses in Canada and they move in and do not pay rent and you can not get them out. It is bad that the laws protect criminals all over the world. @@jcas

Jorge glad to make a comment............. In Mexico, people from out of town arrive in the suburbs and make a "union" of squatters, they take over land, which is expected and legally and have a representative, give them money, to deal with city officials for legal paperwork, in the meantime hurdle pallets, barb wire, old plywood, and "fence" the property. The city officials will set up electrical poles and eventually sewer and running water, which might take over a year, there're no restrictions so people build as they go and as they can. They work a week and buy 100 bricks and 2 sacks of cement or so. Public transportation is private so buses will have bus stops to commute people. The neighborhood will improve year after year and will have pave streets and the necesseries and will function as part of a city. Children will attend a school that might be on another neighborhood but eventually the government will build a new school. Children will find an empty lot where to play sports and eventually that piece of land will become a legal park. In United States and in Canada citizens get shit..........therefore tents on the sidewalks. Foreigners who go to Mexico and see chanty houses 10 years later there will be chanty houses but the occupants are newcomers and those who were there 10 years before already own a house. In US and in Canada you have to work for somebody for years so you can get on credit a $300k home that is worth less than $200k and pay it off in 30 years. North americans don't feel bad....we win on this one..........In Mexico, average citizen make an average of $100 a week and in US and in Canada $800- a week and in places like Houston , Texas just about everything is cheaper than in Mexico, including some food, in other words, moneywise people in Mexico make shit and are in deep shit and will never drive a new pick up truck ( mexican dream) as any american can do. US has homeless not because these people are without homes; it is about people having drug problems and mental problems. Many people are now just renting a bedroom in a house. That is between $600 (for a closet) to $1000 a month. Drugs are free now and we have walking zombies living on the streets. Look up on youtube for tent cities in every city in Canada. The homeless live along sidewalks in the cities and in every park they can find. It is all caused from the government here that has been purposely increasing living costs! Canada sucks big time! It's all planned too! Everybody here wants out!

Correct there are "homeless people" in Mexico but they at the very least have a home to squat in or just move to an area where they can build a home or structure of some kind. In the USA that does not exists. YOU HAVE TO Live on the Street with NO Shelter. I know things are not perfect in Mexico either but there is a huge difference in how each country treats its people.

Hi friend Honestly is not that simple, therefore I don't think what you say in this video is 100% true. I used to live happily there, until something really serious, (after many bad things) that threatened my life, made me move out of there. So I was forced to leave since insecurity was lurking around all the time! So I'm not getting into details, and I don't wish you badness, but my opinion about "best living" here is completely the opposite, since when certain things happened to the mind, for security, people used to change, to look for other horizons. After the attempts against your integrity, you don't trust, you lost being in peace with society, because you never know when something horrible will affect your life, either from the government, or the folks! And of course, nothing is real or false, everything depends on how you connect with the surroundings! Hopefully you will be ok always! Have a good day! Greetings from the USA!

Which areas does the Mexican governnent control? My understanding is only around Mexico City and the government isn't allowed in many areas. How do you tell who is in charge of regions as you travel?
@JoseArteagaTravels Жыл бұрын
The people of Mexico control Mexico, the Government only controls certain regions and areas in which the people allow them to control. The Government works for the people and when it doesn't it is pushed out of the way. The Government has a hard time being in control because there are more citizens than there are Government officials. The Government has a hard time imposing its will onto the people because most of the people just simply dont allow tyranny.

@@irvinnorris7041 I don't believe there is actually a Mexican government any longer, it's more like several independent nations.
