Even before processing, I don’t think every fish they got combined would add up to 200 lbs. This was a little bizarre watching them shooting dinks too.

Gar is not a normal fish they eat in the south, it is simply a fish you eat if you don't have anything else to eat. I'm from Louisiana and have only ever seen it cooked a couple times by old school folks. Typically they are thrown on the bank left to die.

Is it just me or does Jeff look like he doesn’t want to be anywhere near Louisiana? He looks miserable there especially since he’s the only one spear fishing while Josh and Casey hang back doing nothing. Then Jeff gets the phone call from the fish buyer in Hawaii and was gone!!

No they were all gar there's a few different Species of gar some only get about 2 feet or so

But now I live in the mid west we have spotted and long nose gar here and everyone calls the gator gar and I'm like nope wrong and them I show them a 250 pound gator gar I've caught and I say no this is a gator gar there jaws drop its price less lol

who eats Alligator Gar ? Im from Delaware obviously we dont have them up hear but ive caught Catfish 30lbs all day long. those were what 3-5lbs at best

Ok I have fished with captain Heavy with VOODOO out of venice. This is the price breakdown of what it costs to go 70 miles out $2800 for the trip 20% tip for the deckhand and you pay for the fuel. When i went it was $1000 of gas to go that far. So no I dont think they are really doing what they say. Just making TV that's all.

I thought there was a limit on gar only one per person.....I hate bow fisherman they take too much fish than they need....in a couple of years the gar are going to be gone and a lot of people are going to regret it......stop taking advantage of alligator gar if you want 200 pounds of gar shoot a big one

This shows obviously staged and has producers working behind the scene to narrate and ‘produce’ a TV show.. idk I guess I just realized that after watching a full episode. Still obvious some of its unscripted (nature & fishing..)
