Thanks Pastor Skip - throughout all these battles where Israel destroyed all these armies I was wondering how many of the Israelite warriors were killed, but it’s not mentioned anywhere I can see…? Regarding the judgement of the Canaanites after 400 years, one wonders when God will decide the iniquity of this country is full…

Why did God command them to hamstring the horses, that seems like such a cruel thing to do? And if he wanted them not to rely on the horses, He could’ve just commanded them to not use them in battle or He could’ve hamstrung them himself painlessly

@@CalvaryABQ I still just don’t understand why God couldn’t hamstring the horses himself and make it painless, what was the point of making the Israelites do it and cause the horses pain?

I came here because of the cruelty in Joshua 11:6,9. I just want to understand why God crippled and tortured animals versus killing them. When you hamstring a horse it can't walk. You said it can do farm work etc. It can't even stand up anymore. It can't even urinate or defecate without a painful struggle. It ruins their life and they can't walk, let alone do farm work. I pray you see this and can help me through this.
