1978 I was a junior in high school and the World was right and full of promise. Gregg Rollie made this song what it is. Good memories of when I was young. I know this sounds like an old man’s cliche ‘. I was born in 1979. I was a child of the 80’s and a teen of the 90’s. I don’t complain because my “coming of age” was with Pearl Jam, Alice In Chains, STP, NIN, Nirvana, etc. But the older I get (43 now), the more I see how my generation was the last to know what “cool” *really* is. Starting in the last year or so of the 90’s, music became industry manufactured garbage, with performers (because they aren’t artists) surgically enhanced Brat dolls. You though... to be a teen with Journey - I am a little envious. I would go back, anytime.

I think this album was released in early 1978 and recorded in late 1977. Just imagine this song and video , this special moment in time that will never happen again , were recorded for us. I feel so grateful for that. Thank you to all the members of Journey for your music for the last 40 years.
