My dad was heavily into Classical music, but I have found I ONLY enjoy that music when it's written for movies, TV, AND ESPECIALLY... for video games! 😂 The Soundtracks of the games Demon's Souls, Dark Souls 1-3, Bloodborne and Elden Ring are all absolute masterpieces led by the incredibly talented violinist Yuka Kitamura and the music reminds me of my favourite moments and how I felt in them.

WOW, Monie! What a great story of both musical and spiritual growth! Radiohead is one of my favorite bands! Romeo and Juliet is an amazing movie and Radio completes it perfectly with their track Exit Music. I haven’t owned a CD in 20 years. I’m just now discovering that there is some amazing music out there that is not available on vinyl but only available on CD. I still have a 5 disk CD player in my attic. Now you’ve got me 🤔

Hi Monica .. Enjoyed you sharing some stories of your experiences & how you relate them with music. I really liked the song by Frou Frou ( Let Go ) that played during the closing credits of Garden State & also Thievery Corporations Lebanese Blonde is in the movie. Great film & great music. I have many fond memories of the first Coldplay that wasn't that popular at the time. Happy Halloween 🎃 to you & your family & congratulations on the live streams !

LOL I JUST added ANOTHER video game Soundtrack to my collection today and that is: "Marvel's Guardians Of The Galaxy" from Mondo, AN ALBUM I'M REALLY LOOKING FORWARD TO SPINNING because SquareEnix (the game developer) hired a trio of musicians to play a band called Star-Lord (Peter Quill's favourite band and the source of his Heroic name) and write an album called "Space Rider" to be included in the game. So, you can listen to "Space Rider" in its entirety during the Prologue in the mid 80s, when young Peter is just chilling in his room with his headphones on. The album is epic, cheesy, catchy, and just all around glorious! IT'S SO AWESOME! Here's a song from it, called "Bit Of Good": kzbin.info/www/bejne/eX3QlpqGf5J-hsk

Had Matchbox 20 and Romeo + Juliet back in the 1990s as well 😃There was a school killer back then, Kip Kinkel, and he left the R+J soundtrack playing on repeat on the stereo at home after he killed his parents. One of my siblings went to high school with one of the members of The Shins as well.

Very cool and inspiring story! It sounds like you have a great way of not only looking at things but improving them when it's not going right 👍 So what years did you work on Gilmore Girls? And what did you do on that series? That is my all-time favorite TV series. I just loved the character Lorelai Gilmore in that show. I never watched a lot of TV between about 14 years old and 34 years old. I watched it but I didn't get into series or anything like that too much. And then I had to have some eye surgeries, which started on all days 9/11/2001, and something went wrong and it left me legally blind. I haven't been able to drive and have real limited vision since then and I couldn't even see anything on TV for about 2 years after the surgeries. But when I first started being able to do more than listen to what was on, I had the TV on CW one day and that show came on. I thought it was really interesting. I'd seen commercials and knew of it but had never seen it. I thought it was kind of a girls series of some sort until I started watching it each week. I fell in love with that show and it's still my all-time series favorite. Lauren Graham, or the way her character acted, reminds me so much of the girl I fell in love with when I was 16 and we remained the best of friends throughout our whole lives until she passed away less than 2 years ago. She was still the love of my life and so sweet. Anyhow, the Lorelei Gilmore character reminded me of her so much and even she thought it reminded her of herself when I got her to watch the series about 5 years ago :-) I just love that show and it was not what I expected at all with all of the different characters in it. Did you ever get to meet Lauren Graham? It sounds like you have been having an interesting career and you've been going for what you wanted to do and that's great! Music has always been the catalyst, the staple, and just so many things to me in my life as well. Both in good times and bad times it's been there to comfort and assist me through the melodies, lyrics, and everything else it can provide. I've thanked God that it was my vision that I lost instead of my hearing! I just couldn't imagine not being able to have my music in my life ♥️😁😁 Great video and a very interesting story you told. Thanks for sharing it! Brian in Fort Worth 🎶 Edit: Oh yeah, and I forgot to ask this. Is that house used as the residents on Gilmore Girls really the house that was used for The Waltons back in the day? Of course I realize most everything is TV stages but do you know if that story is true? I was watching some rerun episodes on MeTV earlier this year of The Waltons and thought "that looks like the Gilmore Girls house" at the time. And then a few weeks later I was watching a KZbin video where that exact topic was mentioned and the video said it was the same house. I'm just curious and wondered if you might know?
@MonieMuse

Wow awesome comment! Thank you for sharing and opening up. The whole show Gilmore girls was shot on the WB lot in Burbank, The picture I took was In front of the town hall meeting place, having been there it’s funny when I watch the show cause I can tell they’re just walking in a big circle 🤣. Everything was pretty close together, Luke’s Cafe and the park gazebo. I think you’re right about the same house used for the Waltons. I would see Alexis (Rorie) during my lunch break, we would get a smooth at the same place 🤣. I didn’t work on set, I was an assistant to the photography dept and graphics dept. a part of me wishes I tried to get hired but when asked about my future plans I told them I was going back to college to learn how to edit films. Pretty crazy your eyes surgery happened on 9/11/01!!! I’m glad the show was there for you, it really is a comforting show. I watched it In order when i had my first baby and it was a sweet time just hanging out w the baby and watching Gilmore girls. Thank you for sharing about your love - friendship story, glad you were able to share GG w her.

@@MonieMuse Haha Yeah I bet it is kind of funny watching something on TV that you know more about than what is being shown. Stars Hollow was just a small circle and you knew it :-) But they sure make it look like a real town when they put the film all together and air it. But that is cool that you worked out there and got to see the setup and some actors. I love photography myself and really started getting more into it after I lost about 85% of my vision. It's kind of strange but a lot of the stuff I cannot see at a distance or CD tell on up close and I can see much better when I'm looking at a good photograph on a computer screen. I've always enjoyed documenting life through photography and video and it really is a fascinating hobby of its own. And that's real awesome that you got to make a career out of it. Thanks for the reply back and the info you shared! I really do appreciate it. And I like your love of music and enthusiasm for what you do also. It comes through in the videos that you make and I hope you keep up the great work. I'll talk to you later... PS I use Google Voice to text to compose these messages or replies most times on my phone. I'll go back and proofread it with a high-powered magnifier most of the time. But sometimes I still miss things or Google will change something up to a few minutes later at times. So if something looks backwards or doesn't make sense in a reply from me, please understand that sometimes these weird things happen and either something changes on its own or I miss it. And on some occasions I don't get a chance to proofread but those are usually the shorter one or two sentence replies hehe :-)

@@MonieMuse I was going to mention to you a couple of albums you should check out, I'm really into 70s music & I thought maybe you should check out three albums by The Alan Parsons Project, mainly because they are really good & I think you might like the instrumentals on them. First one is their debut album titled "Tales of Mystery & Imagination [Edgar Allan Poe] the first track is one of my favorite songs of all-time, it's called "A Dream Within A Dream/The Raven", I think you'll like this one because the instrumental is so great. The second album is "I Robot" the whole album is FIRE!! Check out the title track "I Robot" it's an instrumental & the second track "I Wouldn't Want To Be Like You" is just a fantastic song in general. The third album is "Pyramid" The first two songs are "Voyager/What Goes Up" they will make you appreciate the album for just those two songs. I thought about you when I listened to them, you honestly might like them, let me know what you think

Hi Monica, I really don't have a top ten because a lot of my CDs are just so good I can't rate them, but I'll tell you what CD's I do love a lot. [01] RAM by Paul & Linda McCartney [02] The White Album by The Beatles [03] Animals by Pink Floyd [04] Black Sabbath by Black Sabbath [05] Ten by Pearl Jam [06] Crosby, Stills & Nash by Crosby, Stills & Nash [07] "But Seriously, Folks..." by Joe Walsh [08] Gish by Smashing Pumpkins [09] The Earth Is Not A Cold Dead Place by Explosions In The Sky [10] Love Is Love by Lungfish I love your taste in music, Matchbox Twenty was a really good album, so is the "Third Eye Blind" first album. I listen to everything, so my list would go on forever. There is a band from 1979 called The Headboys, their self-titled album is so good, especially side two. I post stuff on my channel that may not be everybody's cup of tea, but it's stuff I played or listened to when I was younger & I still listen to it today.
