Hello Stephanie- We were craving chewy Deli style lemon sugar cookies today during the ice storm, so I made these today but added 1/2 tsp of lemon extract and boy are they a hit! I do have to tell you how much I appreciate you. I have been watching your videos ever since I was a newly married wife and now a Mom to 2 teens and cannot tell you how helpful they have been to me over the years. Thank you so much!!

I was on a quest to replicate a sugar cookie from a French bakery in the neighborhood. I had been eyeing your recipe for awhile and watched your video twice and decided it might be the recipe that I was looking for. I followed the recipe and my cookies turned out just like in your photo-video. My quest was short. The texture and taste were EXACTLY what I was looking for (crusty edges, light colored, and slightly chewy texture). Thank you Stephanie!

Started to learn to bake a few months ago. Tried these today because MFS (My Favorite son) asked for sugar Cookies. They turned out great. II was never good at consistent sized cookies. A term that gets thrown around for this sort of inconsistency s "rustic". So I took your advice about weighing the dough for each cookie. Worked great for these, and the ginger snaps, and the thin chocolate chip cookies. Thanks

I baked them today they were a great texture and tasted great, I had to bake longer because I was using a toaster oven and would also used condensed milk because I didn’t have regular. I would skip the condensed milk next due to it being extra sweet. However I will definitely recommend

We think these are great. I substituted part of the vanilla extract with almond extract, then topped the dough carefully with sliced almonds before flattening. Because I didn't chill the dough, the almonds stuck nicely. Would be yummy drizzled with almond icing, too. Thank you!!

I am a novice. I started baking because of the lockdown. I found your videos and instructions so easy to follow and had a few successes already. My question is that is the oven temperature In your recipes fan forced or non fan forced ? I noticed your oven in the video seems to be ac fan forced one.

I use a fan oven. The temperatures I give are for a regular oven. Depending on the brand of convection oven you are using, you may have to reduce the temperature by 25 F (15 C). I would check your oven's manual.
