Currently trying to setup a sim using my Radiolink AT10ii as well. What simulator program are you using with your setup and How is it working?
@drewlatta19795 ай бұрын
@@who8dapple It works okay. Its been about a year since I've used it. I used RealFlight and had to work out with breadboard wires which pins on the Radiolink are output signal. Then I had to hack the S-Video cable with a audio jack cable and do some shitty soldering to get it all to work-ish...
@drewlatta19795 ай бұрын
@@who8dappleHis solution with the receiver is probably a better solution. You need to use the VJoy as he describes. The R6DS is pretty low cost and would work for this with the PPM output.

It took me thee days to figure out a way to hack my RC transmitter from a toy drone. I got it working with my own Arduino code that produces a PPM signal to feed into Smart Propo Plus and literally one hour later I found this. I'm still glad I did, because Smart Propo Plus is not very nice at all, because it is extremely glitchy and consumes so many system resources, that my whole PC starts to stutter after a while. The tip for using vJoySerialFeeder was really great. I just dumped my code and flashed the code to my Arduino, that is mentioned at the end of this video. That worked because I had the same Idea to solder wires into the RC controller (and it can still be used for my toy drone). After some calibration it started to work beautifully. A FlySky Transmitter is on the way to me from china and I'm going to hook it up wirelessly as mentioned here. This is a great source of information about that topic, thanks for that. Left a thumbs up!

I have an old controller from a silverlit X-UFO and thought I might try to hook it up to the computer for use with a simulator. I found an audio port on the controller, and tried to plug it into my computer mic port with the suggested application, but it didn't seem to recognize anything. I took the controller apart and the audio port seems to be connected to a button labeled "trainer", and I assume this is then used for sending/receiving data when running two controllers? Should I expect this to work with an audio cable to my computer?
@neutronenstern.2 жыл бұрын
I think you are a little fast with the explanation. I tried the first method, but it didnt work, because my PC has got a Aux plug with 4 imstead of 3 contacts. It is for audio output and microphone at the same time. So then i tried to use a four pin aux wire, and connect the ground wire to ground and the microphone wire to the pin you showed. Now the App was viewing the connection, and i could connect it, but it could not detemine the sticks position. Do i need to turn the trainer mode on, on the controller for it to work? Or do i have to connect it else with that plug? Or do i have to use a interface with and microphone adapter with 3 pins only?

I'd recommend the vJoySerialFeeder option mentioned in this video (via IBUS). This tool lets you configure a deadzone. Also Smart Propo Plus isn't that great in my experience after having tried vJoySerialFeeder. Just get an FTDI Adapter and a second receiver that puts out IBUS and can be paired with your radio. If you set up your drone to use SBUS as well, then you don't need to change configs when switching between the simulator and real fpv. Connecting your drone via USB might be an option (if you're actually flying a drone that supports this feature).
