In 1976 I rolled my first 300 at age 15 in the city tournament in Midland Texas with a Columbia 300 white dot. Of course the lanes were wood back then much different than lanes now. Im now 59 years old and still love the game.

@@jordanjungjrproshop9380 i loved bowling back then John Denton was pro back then he was my Idol then. With age I have gone from 16 lb to 14 lb. My Grandmother got me into bowling age 5, I have taught many people how to bowl. I enjoy it especially the young people, they ask me how long did it take to bowl like I do. I tell them I'm still learning. I live in Amarillo Texas. Sorry for the long reply.

Enjoy the videos. Would really like to see the Axiom, Idol, and the Rubicon compared together.
@jordanjungjrproshop93804 жыл бұрын
I actually threw the Axiom along side the Idol and the Rubicon while I practiced after, the Axiom covers a similar amount of boards to the Rubicon but starts up much sooner and has a much smoother shape

Thanks for the kind words David! The UFO is definitely a beast. Hooks very early and smooth, would be a great compliment to the black and gold widow

I bought the rubicon recently and I'm not getting the reaction you're showing. It seems to labor if in the oil and 2_8_10. But if I slow it down it goes brook. Is that because it's reading in the oil and losing energy or just a line issue?
@clowny23964 жыл бұрын
Nice comparisons! The Rubicon is going to be my next buy. Don't have an Idol, but do have a Code X and UFO. Looking forward to the Axiom Pearl compared to the Trend. My guess is that the Axiom Pearl will have more energy on the backend. Thanks Jungo...

Nice video. Hey Jordan you have the skill do you take some polished stuff to tournaments. PARALLAX, PHASE 3,or,Astro.
@jordanjungjrproshop93804 жыл бұрын
Hey Anthony! Yes for sure, I always bowl long format tournaments and lean towards the symmetric balls so ill have a emerald, and/or hyroad pearl, and halo pearl with me (halo pearl now replaced by the parallax in my bag for future tournaments)

Is the Rubicon similar to the No Rules Exist? I need to replace it. Should I wait until closer to Nationals before I do?
@jordanjungjrproshop93804 жыл бұрын
the UFO would be more similar to the No Rules Exist (the rubicon would be step down), hmm I would aim to get it at least a couple months before nationals, just so you are comfortable with it and know what it does on a few different conditions

Why don’t u go with longer drilling angle on the big assyms like UFO u have the mass way out by the val makes it way earlier n smoother as u obviously know being pro shop owner
@jordanjungjrproshop93804 жыл бұрын
Hey CleSwag excellent question: yea i used to put the mb in the thumb for my big asyms, then i went down a bowled a couple tour events and regionals and i felt like i couldn't get the ball to start up early enough at the start of blocks, so i decided to start drilling them stronger. Don't get me wrong they are very good for me when i play straighter angles on the fresh and also heavy volume patterns, just not the best shape when im inside 4th arrow like in this video
@cleswag24194 жыл бұрын
Jordan Jung JR Pro Shop ya exactly...I always go around 50 degrees meet in the middle but those balls aren’t for getting way in anyways once they hit their preferred spin axis they quit n roll just not meant for gettin in and wheelin
@tackywacky994 жыл бұрын
I would say for a purpose of a video review, its better to just keep the layouts simple and not too optimized for your own personal game. As pro shop operators we can adjust and manipulate layouts and surfaces to be exactly to our needs. Not everyone is going to know what theyre getting or ever adjust the surface at all. Seeing the natural gyration of the core is what most people will go by when deciding to purchase a bowling ball. Given said that, I totally agree with your longer drilling angles on assyms. The ball reaction and angles in this video were barely sub-optimal
@jordanjungjrproshop93804 жыл бұрын
@@tackywacky99 Yes, I agree with you. All of my asyms have the same layout (35x5.25x40) and all of my syms have the same layout (65x5x25) this video was the first one I compared an asym to a sym hence the different layouts. If you watch any of my other ball review videos everything has the same layout. Thanks for watching!!

Both are good compliments to the Rubicon. The Trend goes really long and is really sharp, and the UFO Alert hooks a bit earlier and hooks more overall. If you’re looking for a weaker ball than the Rubicon, then I’d go with the Trend.
