@@hbomb3266 I'm Australian, and our main domestic airlines are jetstar, quantas, rex and virgin. Quantas and jetstar are owned by the same company, quantas has free wifi that works just fine all flight, and I've only ever seen jetstar wifi cost $5 AUD for a whole trip. (Which is less in USD) Virgin I'm pretty sure doesn't do wifi but the overall quality is still better then what I heard about spirit Airlines etc.

This is why you download music and videos before the flight so that you can watch/listen to it the whole time. Although, I understand that some people need to use "The Internet" or Insta/Twitter. Thats why I hate the entire flight system. it sucks, its always too hot or too cold, there's always a toddler crying two rows back or someone kicking your chair, and every time you try to fall asleep your head falls forward and wakes you up. Also, even if you do fall asleep by the time you wake up your covered in sweat, drool and your confused to where you even are for a good 10 seconds.

Virgin airlines Australia was pretty good with their wifi. honestly, it was very good. It was free, no ads while connecting and a smooth connection process in general, I was able to watch an entire stream vod at 1080p with hardly any buffering. Really nice experience overall 9/10

the reason why the free version could load what time you had left is likely cause it gets stored on the network you're on; the plane's network. basically: your phone get identified on a website that isn't hosted on its own and the site tells you how much time you have left. it can load it just fine since thr resources are RIGHT THERE
