I learned to fish at 5 or 6 years-old and I still love it at 69. Teaching little ones the right way to fish gives them a hobby they will love forever. And they will always remember John Skinner. John, you are the best.

Really enjoy the vids John. I'm in New England for about a month traversing around both fresh and saltwater bites from Maine down to New York. Let me know if you'd be down to link up and fish at all over the next 3-4 weeks!

Hey man, big fan of your channel. I'd be happy to show you some cool saltwater and freshwater spots in Southern NY if you are around sometime during the next 2 weeks

John, I always tell people how your complementary videos are only a fraction of what your book Fishing For Summer Flounder has to offer... When reading your book.. You remind me of the TERMINATOR..... Scanning, Zooming In, Collecting profile data on wind, tide charts, structure, rods, reels, lures, currents, boats, kayak, shore... ETC!!! You gave life to the waters I view now... The beach, bays... WATER will NEVER BE THE SAME!!!... THANK YOU!... I'm sure the kids feel the same!!!

Thanks for the kind words. Something I like about writing the books is that you have time to really get everything into the polished product. I'm glad it's appreciated!

Hello John thanks for another great video. My buddy and I have been fishing the far south Jersey this year and it's been rough with only two keepers between us so far. We are hitting Wildwood reef, cape May reef etc and it seems like we are constantly picking through short fish or the bite is just absent. We had much better luck out of Central Jersey in the past. If you have any ideas apart from the obvious which is to go someplace else, I'm all ears.
