Biology limitations is that the laws of nature do Not care about the welfare of humans. Therefore, DNA has limitations. Human values like... love, goodness, truth, service, sharing, caring, peace and idealistic beauty are Not a byproduct of atoms and biological molecules.

30:35 Friedberg could not help himself from his anxiety to ask another question, so he started to play Chopin Waltz in D-flat Major, Op. 64, No. 1 on air piano with some velvet chair notes

The Yamanaka factors are not proteins per-se that you just “give” to cells; rather, they are genes that are introduced into cells to initiate reprogramming and induce pluripotency.

Why not do the early human trials on humans who are terminal? We turn off medical support to allow very sick/damaged humans every day. They seem like great candidates for some of this testing.

How does this process affect the mouse telomeres? Were the telomeres measured before the initial mutation was introduced, during the time the mutation was present, and after the change was made to the reprogrammed mouse?

Did you not watch the presentation at all? The aim is to retain or restore health by targeting the biology of aging. The examples with mice show how healthy function is extended and morbidity is compressed.

Thanks for starting off the video by talking about how this guy thinks he found 'the fountain of youth.' Now i can click on some other video. Let me know when you find the guy who solved alchemy though. Gooooold fever!!!! You people sniff your own farts. The fountain of youth?!?!! Read history - not just ww2 history - this is as old as man kind itself.
@SirTenenbaum3 ай бұрын
"Fountain of youth" is an annoying phrase the media love to use. Aging is biology, and these researchers have extended healthy lifespan in mice by targeting aspects of the biology of aging, such as epigenetic drift.
