Maybe I'm the only person. This is a song so dedicated to God I'm shocked I didn't notice when I was lost in the world. No surprise. I'd give back all these things I've gained without you by my side just to have more time with you. Notice the subtle finger to the sky at the end. God works in mysterious ways. Yes the band title should have given it away I just thought about that. But feeling God's lovingkindness radiating in my life has changed the way I look at music. May all who listen to this song receive blessings in abundance and a graceful touch from Jesus. Seek to know the one who gave all for us to have the opportunity to get to know him.

One of my favorite memories involves this song. My brother and I were young and both recently single. Just a couple of aimless, sad guys. Coming home one night, the conversation had run dry and we turned on the radio. This song started playing. We just wordlessly listened, paying attention to every note. When it finally ended, we sat for a couple seconds in more silence. Then, exactly at the same time, we looked at each other and said “that sucked!” True story.

Now about this song. I love the way the chorus is sung, all from the heart and blasting out. It made it real easy to sing in the car when it first hit and was getting so much air play. And I mean SING!! LOUDLY!!! I'd be in my car at a stoplight and they'd play it. From the very first note I was free to bellow it out at the top of my lungs so strongly the car next to me would be looking at me! That was great because if it made it all the way to their car then it might just make it all the way to Heaven which was where I needed it to go. You see, this song's release date was 11/2016 and my dear dear mother died December 27, 2016. ( these things always seem to happen around the holidays) I think this song came to me at the perfect moment. It connected itself to me so completely I knew it wasn't just some random thing. That song was intended for me. Of this I am sure. My sister flew to California the very next day. I took time off work and spent it all with her at my mama's home. The landlord needed the keys in just 10 days so we had some work to do! That time that I had with her was surreal. It was as calm as the eye of a hurricane and oh so peaceful. My mom was a Virgo and to say she was precise would be an understatement! She had prepared EVERYTHING with the obvious intention of making it as simple as possible when this time came. All the way down to her socks and her Q-Tips!!! I love my mama SOOO SOOO much and I am still in awe as I watched this whole event unfold around me. As with all things, our 10 days passed and we said a very heartfelt good-bye and returned to our own lives. The drive in on my first day back to work: I'm at a stoplight, sitting in a car my mom had blessed me with. It's a perfectly maintained little 2011 Honda Civic with 21,000 miles on it, insurance and registration paid up for a year. My mama LOVED jewelry and she had a lot of it. Not cheap crap either. Nothing gold filled or gold plated. Sapphire was her birthstone and she loved it. Almost every ring was a sapphire ring. A few diamonds as well. She left it all to my sister. Except for one ring, my sister gave it all to me. I couldn't believe it! Mama had also been squirreling away a little bit of money, unbeknownst to us, which she split evenly between us. All of it, the whole experience, had been totally OVER the top for me. For us both. My mama's death had come out of left field. She was a remarkably healthy elderly lady with high blood pressure that was well managed. No other health issues. So the heart attack that took my mama was completely unexpected. Her doctor even called me a few days later to express his sorrow and his shock at what had happened. So needless to say, my head was buzzing from the suddenness of it. Now pile on top of that the literal dreamscape that my sister and I had existed in for those 10 days, (we had never had that much time together, ever. She was 13 when I was born. It was truly wonderful) all the mind-blowing parting gifts that she had for us, the money that I had in the bank, (very soon after I spent almost every dime of it on a home for my husband and myself), this amazing, perfect Honda car

I wish I knew my best friend yesterday before his history silenced him & his present is haunted by the history he found himself a part of. I hope to one day hear his voice again or simply be close enough to feel his strength again.

The banjo for me is what made this song good 😌..I mean the guy said it himself “and it feels so nice when the people are singing along..singing along to the banjo”😊

The guitar is what kept me looking for this song. Heard it on the radio and spent the last two months trying to find it again lol. There's just something about the way the guitar is being played that hooks me.

Its like it lets you dwell on regret for a relationship that ended but the banjo sounds so happy that it feels like eh, its ok though.

I had the opportunity to move away from home with my exbf of 3 years at that time, to California. My dad was diagnosed with GBM (brain cancer). I gave up everything. Job. School. Relationship. Just to be with him... now that my dad is gone and it feels like I have nothing left... listening to this song reminds me of what I would have been singing had I not given everything up.. I love you dad, i miss you so much! R.I.P. J. Neil Brown Jr.
