Ah, they just don't make them like Judith Durham any more! Humble, articulate, decent, thankful, supremely gifted. I remember when The Seekers disbanded,and my late mother was so sad at that. She really loved that Band and all of their wonderful music. Ms Durham's legacy is immortal, and is one of the all time great female singers in my book!

Rosemary, I must disagree with you slightly. She didn’t have “one of the most exquisitely pure singing voices I’ve ever heard”. Judith Durham had THE most exquisitely pure singing voice. Sadly, in August last year the world lost the greatest singing talent it’s ever had and, almost certainly, will ever have. Thank god, we have so many recordings of her!.

I only watched from on tv the year that Judith Durham & the Seekers performed at the Grand Final. The incredible roar of cheers & applause at the end of "I Am Australian", made the hair on my neck stand up & will remain with me forever. Just returned home to Canada a couple of evenings ago from Scotland where I attended a cremation service for my Mother on the 29th July. The only man she ever loved passed on some 17 years ago and the only woman who came between mother and father was an Australian singer by the name of Judith Durham. For me Judith will always be Friday. RIP.

I was in elementary school on the 60's and grew up hearing this music. My older sisters listened to the radio while doing the dishes or working on their homework. It was the sweetest time, and I'd give anything to go back and live for a day back then. Not as a do-over, but just to feel that way again and see the things and people who are gone. That's impossible, but hearing this wonderful music is the next best thing. Thanks in heaven to Judith.😢🙏

A truly Unigue singer that will be sadly missed worldwide .We are lucky to have lived in the same era as Judith Durham and also for the songs that she and the boys of The Seekers have recorded throughout the sixties, seventies, eighties, and nineties. I am not embarrassed to say I shed a tear for this lady when I heard the news. Judith I am in my mid seventies and I know you will be the first angel I will meet when It's my time. God bless R.I.P

I have been listening to The Seekers for many,many years. I sang a few of their songs in a school pantomime. The first song i remember ever hearing was,as i called it "Rockin,rollin,riding". I sang it just as i sat at my first grandchilds christening, forgetting that a family friend attending is Australian. He looked at me as if to say" how on earth do you know that song?". My dad loved the Seekers. Itsa bit sad for me as it brings back memories of him playing their records when I was young. Judith's voice NEVER changed even into her 70s, she was phenominal. I'm a hardened rock fan but along with Karen Carpenter, Judith is up there with the very best female vocalists ever . What sad news indeed that she has left us.

I cannot believe she’s gone The Seekers will never be the same button music and never stop only tonight I was singing along to The Seekers the Carnival is over I am in Australia The Seekers music will keep carrying on and on and on and Judith will always keep singing. I wasn’t even alive when the seekers were making their hits. I was born October 1966 when the seekers were getting their hits. Today I listened to Judith‘s and The Seekers sing like always listen to them for the rest of my life show me missed the boy

Very few singers can claim 'perfect pitch' and Judith was so modest that she never claimed this gift. The sounds of the Seekers will live on and Judith will leave the legacy of that beautiful voice, that many might copy, but few will reproduce. Judith, you were unique. Strange isn't it , there are so many people commenting about when they were young. Like I remember the Seekers were always on the radio in the 60s and 70s. In fact I think they were one of the first groups I ever heard as my dad was always playing their 45rpms singles. Happy days, memorable songs and a lead singer with an outstanding voice ! My wife and I were lucky enough to see Judith and the Seekers live in concert twice in the UK, we have never forgotten what wonderful evenings they were. I feel humble that I was able to attend the Farewell concert in Manchester a few years ago. The whole group were totally professional and all came across as really nice people.
