RIP Judith sorely missed. Recently I spent a fortune in getting one of the signed copies of the DVD of the final Australian Concert - cost of sending it to the UK was more than the DVD - but worth every penny. The night we heard that Judith had sadly died we sat in silence watching this absolutely wonderful DVD. RIP Judith, one of the very best, there will never be another you.

About 2 to 3 months ago I was listening to you some '60s records on KZbin when I heard a song from a band The seekers. So I thought wow I know I heard those songs when I was young I never knew who sang them. So I furthered a search on KZbin and found the seekers. I haven't stopped listening since when I heard I am Australian I started to pray. With tears in my eyes I pray for the Australian people I don't know why. Since then I've been over whelmed with the amount of love I had for the Seekers I was so consumed with the music I could not stop listening The more I heard the songs the more I pray for Australia. Then on the tragic day of August 5th I heard that Judith was gone. So why God had me listening so much to the music maybe I'll never understand, until I am in His presence. Blessings to Judith's Family, friends, and fans

Oh, my Lord. I honestly didn't know Judith Durham passed away just recently🤦♀. She had one of the most enchanting voices in the folk music genre of the 1960s. What a blow to many of her fans😞, especially her fellow sidemen musicians, the Seekers. Judith was known for her forceful and articulate phrasing, whose singing voice compared to Mary Travers, who sang with the trio Peter Paul and Mary before she died in 2009. Now we've lost one of Australia's endearing songstress together with the demise of Olivia Newton-John🙏. RIP, Judith Durham😢. You are gone, but you will always be in our hearts💕 and fondly remembered😇 whenever your classic song Georgy Girl is on online radio.

Agree with the names mentioned, although it's so hard to "rank" them, since any great singer has her own unique style (and that style is itself conditioned by the type of music she chooses). That said, I'd put Judith at the very peak of the mountain for the shimmering clarity of her voice, which has mesmerized the millions of people fortunate enough to have heard her. And, yes, spiritual depth and passion ran through everything she sang, even on the most secular material. There was no one quite like her while she lived, and there won't be again. Rest in peace, Judith -- you're one for the ages.

What I find amazing about Judith, besides her awesome voice, is that she had suffered from bronchiectasis since age 4 (and prior to that, asthma) yet she was able to sing with that strong voice, clear into her late 70s. If it interfered or held her back in any way, it truly did not show. RIP ❤❤❤
