You can try indonesian meatball recipes. It is very popular n western visit indonesia always search meatball which we call bakso (populer street food) the different only that we always use sagu flour or tapioka flour as main ingredient, salt, mince garlic, chicken flavour n we make also soup by using meat bone n etc.. try it if u like to explore..

i love to put soy sauce, onions, & seasoned rice vinegar in my meatballs
@Eidann635 жыл бұрын
@pinkpastelhearts Doesn't the vinegar give the meat an "over the date" gamey taste? Anytime I have added vinegar (short of mixed into a sauce like bar b que sauce) it makes fresh meat taste sort of rotten.

It’s an older video, but I like what you did here. These are totally different than traditional dim sum Cantonese meatballs but they are much more accessible. I’m assuming you’re actually going for the frozen section of the Asian market that sells beef balls, pork balls, and fish balls .I need to try this recipe. No lye water, no rehydrated tangerine skin that needs to be scraped. Etc. etc. Although I might do 50% beef 50% pork just for extra juiciness. Nice job can’t wait to try these. Otherwise if I want to do the traditional dim sum ones which I am perfectly capable of doing I’d rather go to my local dim sum place and pick them up. I find the frozen style are much more dense and I’m not a huge fan of them compared to the fresh dim sum ones even though they are two different animals. Thank you, I will comment again once I try them.

@SoupedUpRecipes7 жыл бұрын
After you defrost it, cooking time depends on the method: BOIL - Put it in cold water and bring it to a boil. After it's been boiling for 5 minutes you can take it out. STEAM - 10-15 minutes Those are the traditional ways. I guess you can try other ways if you want =) @everyone - sorry this wasn't clear in the video. Going to put it in the description and pin this comment

When I bring water to boil along with the meat balls, they kind of fall apart and the marinade ingredients get scattered all over. Can you give me some tips. Thanks
@SoupedUpRecipes5 жыл бұрын
From what you described, it is hard to tell what went wrong. What kind of meat did you use? Did you process the meat in the machine? Or a picture will help a lot. Most important is that does it taste good?
@sourayanbiswas45915 жыл бұрын
@@SoupedUpRecipes I minced the meat with cleaver knife then mixed with marinade by hand kneading. I gotta confess the balls were not tight, solid enough when rolled into balls. I'm from India and using water buffalo meat which is somewhere in between beef and lamb/mutton taste and texture wise. The resulting product tasted fine in spite of falling apart. Thanks
