A friend had this Juki DDL-555-4 sewing machine with an "iffy" 220 volt computer controlled motor so I swapped it with a manual 120 volt motor.

Does this mean many nice features of the machine such as synchronisation, stop with needle up or down, back tack, etc. will be lost?

If I recall, the computer functionality didn't work anyhow, and it was 220 volt, she wanted 110 volt so long story short, it was a broken "parts" machine that has come back to life. I don't recall what functions or options the machine itself had...

Do you happen to have the model number and where you ordered the motor from?
