Alright so I am more of a Consew 206 person but recently have been working with the Juki. To the problem when the needle is out it seems to have a good spi but when the needle gets installed it goes to max spi. Any sugestions?

I'm not quite clear on what you are asking. SPI to me is stitches per inch. Can you rephrase? Thank you.

@@Sewinggold Yes so with no needle in it seems to feed fine. When needle is installed it has a spi of 30.

Hi SewingGold. I’m having an issue that I haven’t not been able to figure out. Would love your advice. The needle is stuck in the down position. I can’t seem to retract it to change needle nor the under thread. Any insight on what’s wrong? Thank you for your time.

Loosen the needle set screw and push the needle down as far as you can. It should come out of the needle bar enough to remove it. If you machine is locked, check to see if there is thread in the hook assembly, and then follow one of our "jam fix" videos.

SewingGold.com we watched your jam fix video, and we are tried the last option which was remove the 3 small screws, we can’t get the the 3rd one because the wheel won’t move.

That sounds like an old motor before they changed types The older motors would run when the machine was on whether or not you were using it

Check the rotational switch on your motor. The machine should be set to run counter clockwise.

If it’s on the bottom of the material, need to re-thread the top of the machine Switch your Bobbin color or your top color so you can see which one is causing the problem

The problem is more then likely your motor. You may have a switch on your motor to change the rotation of the pulley. The balance wheel and pulley on the motor should be running counter clockwise.

My juki machine is skipping stitches and sometimes won't even sew at all

There are a few things that can cause skipping. The most basic is the needle in backwards or not all the way up in the needle bar. If you are using a Juki DDL-8700, make sure the needles are DBx1 or 16x257. Mechanically, it could be the timing. You can try and fix that yourself, but hiring a good sewing machine mechanic may be best. Good luck!
