I need to do this somewhat often on my machine, when the inner hook rotates past the finger. I think the ultimate issue is the timing of the opener but the positioning finger is forced out when the needle thread gets caught on the opener and causes the bobbin to rotate, jamming the machine. Can’t seem to get around it for more than 20 minutes of sewing. Have adjusted timing of opener multiple times and it always seems to end up back to closing just too soon. Your videos have been very helpful though.

Seems like a shim would be the ticket once you have set the space.

Please is it meant to make a clicking sound with the bobbin hook everytime it rides over after fixing it close to the bobbin hook? I think mine is too lcose, I can feel a stiff clicking sound. It passes over but then my needle breaks. Please help me

I haven't bit the bullet yet but I've been considering the Juki DU-1181N instead of this one because I've read many reviews where people repeatedly have this problem with the DNU-1541S. I realize the DNU-1541S is more heavy duty though. Is there a permanent fix?
