That Chapter

Күн бұрын

Julia Rawson disappeared from the town of Dudley, UK, in 2019. CCTV showed her talking to a man in a pub, and then vanishing. That man was Nathan Maynard-Ellis. Nathan and his boyfriend, David Leesley, have a very sick obsession.

Don’t take it personally. Being autistic and depressed doesn’t also make you a sociopath/psychopath. I read a study years ago about serial killers and many of them would be considered on the spectrum by today’s standards. But autism doesn’t make a person inherently evil, with no self control.

It's easy for people to forget that there doesn't have to be an extensive storyline or series of events that can lead to their horrific demise at the hands of another human. It can be as simple as this story, a chance encounter with a sociopath at the pub after taking the wrong bus. Whatever the intention you have does not always equal that of a stranger. Better to say goodnight and make it home safe. Poor Julia, I can only imagine how frightened she was. I'm glad this sack of shit was caught.

The removal of her kidney reminds of Jack the Ripper. I think this guy was trying to live out some kind of sick fantasy. It takes an evil person to do something so gruesome. There's no rehabilitating someone that can murder and dismember another human being. He should never see the light of day. What's so scary and sad is seeing the video of her chatting friendly with him. She was completely unaware of what he was going to do to her. Then to see them getting rid of her body like she was nothing is just awful and chilling. That poor woman.

I hope Julia’s loved ones are doing as well as they can in the wake of her loss. 2:16 I’ve driven past that Pegasus many a time and it never stops looking dopey lmao-my favourite though is the roundabout with the Miner statue-as a kid people would put traffic cones on his head and last time I drove past he was sporting the Black Country flag which was nice to see. I want to research into signs, what caused this, why does it happen more in wealthy households etc... I will say this, if you decide to go into it, start getting yourself use to seeing bodies, crime scenes and learn coping skills asap because it's not easy what you will witness that human beings can do to another.. John Douglas is the best, Robert Ressler, read his book. He is one who started the BAU... He passed but his books will help as well..

@@Swnsasy Hehe, I’m a psychiatrist and unfortunately in training my forensic rotation was boring AF. I got three plain vanilla “you are an antisocial asshat and no you aren’t crazy” cases. Seemed like all my co-residents got cool cases. Teens that kill are difficult since the developmental phase really lowers a lot of barriers to aggression and transgression against the parental units. I’m betting signs aren’t gonna be so different from most killers: antisocial tendencies with a penchant for violence/cruelty to animals and younger kids before the parents. I dunno how I feel about material from the profiling community because their track record is spotty as hell and often no better than a psychic. They also fall under the survival fallacy where all they see is people who did kill and none of the people who almost killed but didn’t (I think finding the pieces that actually PREVENTED versus predisposed or precipitated would be much more useful).
@Swnsasy
@Swnsasy 2 жыл бұрын
@@JamesDecker7 I absolutely agree with you on profilers! I want to prevent.. If you don't mind me asking, I would love your opinion on this.. The cases that baffle me so much are the wealthy parents, raise their children with so many opportunities, no physical or mental abuse, why would you take the life of your parents? It is like they are 18 years old, if you take the life of your successful parents, how are you going to make money when you don't run a business, you have not gone to college, what is your plan? I appreciate your input very much..

You have a wonderful gift for storytelling. You can always temper the most horrifying tales with a quirky sense of humor! Great comedic timing for the "shit head" comment. 😄 Of course, your ability to work in details of a murder, investigation, and an arrest and conviction in 30 minutes or less is awesome!👏👏

Don’t treat getting drunk in public as a form of recreation in the first place. (Edit: that came off as harsh and victim blaming which I didn’t intend. I just think that alcohol is a really dangerous drug. It isn’t just the negative impact which it has on your health directly, but it’s also the way it encourages you to let your guard down and be too friendly and trusting. Rest In Peace Julia, you seemed like a really lovely person, this should never have happened to you and those two men are entirely responsible for this tragedy ✌️💕)

Obviously doesn't warrant her being killed, but with hindsight it wasn't a good move... What That Chapter and so many other True Crime channels tells us is that are a ridiculous number of evil/crazy people who are capable of murder around. Getting drunk and going to a strangers house just seems too risky these days, I guess it's always been risky but with the advent of KZbin we're now more wary of just how many nutters surround us.
