Yes your right about 3 years with these machines as the portable twin washing machines tend to only last for about 1-2 years, whether deluxe or not. The spin dryer goes first on these machines. I love them but, have had 3 and all the spin dryers die roughly within a year or two no matter how careful you are with loading or whether you limit use. I don't think there designed to last with or without heavy use. I now have a small portable washer without a spin dryer, came this week. From experience the signal portable washing machines tend to last a little longer, if they tend to have one function. For me I saved lots by the time the previous machines packed up, sold my deluxe as is and the other two I binned, I know a waste, but too much bulk for one function and a lot of hassle to post as is. As people don't always want to collect. I like the look of the dryer but wouldn't invest in one, until they come out with one that lasts past 1-3 years. I live in a small apartment so understand why these are appealing also the amount you save at the laundrette. They just need to make all these portable machines more robust.

Sorry for all the comments, just one more thought or share I guess - this is the year that I've decided to begin changing out my wardrobe and linens to ones made with microfibers and lighter weight materials that can be dried much faster, including while hanging outside on a line. I think that I'll begin with purchasing bath and kitchen towels that are microfiber, and then switching my capris to polyester type materials like hiker's wear. I figure that during the Winter months, I can be much more strategic in the purchase of warmer articles clothing that can be worn underneath my lighter weight clothing, most likely thermals and flannels; I have found that thermals and flannels dry very quickly whether in a dryer or out on a clothesline in a good breeze with sunshine. Have you tried any of these things yet?
@lindav11894 жыл бұрын
you can keep the hot air in your home (it's like a blow dryer), in the summer, probably vent it. I have a big storage room I use in the summer to dry and it vents into that, but in the winter, I allow it to vent in my home.

@Danielle B do you vent your electric hair blow dryer? It's the same. There are NO toxic fumes, like there are in a gas dryer, or a gas stove. Think about it. The electric plug in heaters don't need to be vented, nothing electric does.

@thekeyboardzone-kas4 жыл бұрын
@@JuliaCaban - I have only ever used a vacuum to clean my filter, and after four years of weekly use, the filter is still like new. You just have to make sure you use the hose-only portion of the vacuum and make sure the filter is laying on a flat surface (just the filter, removed from the plastic casing) and that you use your other hand to hold it down so that it doesn't move.
@thekeyboardzone-kas4 жыл бұрын
Hi, Monica - If you can't easily put the dryer near a window to vent it, you can purchase an indoor vent that uses water (in addition to the vent hose). That's what I use, and it works great. On a nice day when it's not too hot, I do like to vent it out the window. But if it's rainy or stifling hot from the summer heat, I just prefer to use the water-filtered indoor vent, and it works great. You do have to be careful not to tip it over, or the water will spill out the little drawer. When I'm finished using the dryer, I disconnect the hose, empty the water out of the filter, and put the hose and filter (still connected to each other) inside the dryer, then tuck it back under my (home office) workstation/desk, where it fits nicely and is hidden behind decorative fabric.
@lindav11894 жыл бұрын
@@insocal4891 yes, its only 700 watts.take that thick filter out. I have no idea why she uses that, then puts it on low and it has to run a LONG TIME. I took the thick filter off (that might have just been for shipping?), set it on high and its nice and hot and drys clothes great.

@thekeyboardzone-kas4 жыл бұрын
Hi, Joseph - I have the same dryer, and all the portable mini dryers are pretty much the same size. So to answer your question - no, it would not be suitable for a heavy king-size blanket. I have put a fairly lightweight queen-size blanket in it for a few minutes to fluff it up after it is almost dry from hanging over my door. But I would not expect to actually dry the blanket in there from a soaking-wet state because it is just too crammed. It's great for pretty much anything and everything else though! See my note to Julie in my previous post regarding tips for shortening the drying time. :)

I just got a panda dryer and I put it on hot but it doesn't even feel warm. Does yours get hot or warm? Just wondering bcuz it isn't gas will it even warm up.
@JuliaCaban4 жыл бұрын
My machine does get warm overtime (if it's set on hot and running for a few hours). It shouldn't feel hot/warm soon after starting. The inside tho will be hot.

2 o’clock to 6 o’clock and my socks and underwear are still not dry in the dryer and it’s only a couple pair of each. The dryer is not even half full. Something has to be wrong I’m sending mines back. My shirts and thermal pants I’ve dried on the vent in 15 minutes. It’s pointless for me to even have it especially in the winter time I can just put my clothes on the vents.

That is odd! Sorry to hear that :( My portable dryer was working as efficiently as regular sized dryer. Is the dryer vent placed outside your window?

How do u replace the filter I order the washer n dryer after I watched your video so excited wait til June to deliver thanks
@JuliaCaban4 жыл бұрын
I’m happy to hear that!:) It’s not that hard to change the filter - just take off the plastic lid and filter is right there - you will find the exact instructions (with pictures) in manual that you will get with the dryer - so don’t worry, everything will be explained :)
@thekeyboardzone-kas4 жыл бұрын
Hi, vanh - The filter should last you a long time if you take care of it. My original filter is still going strong after four years. I just lay it down flat on the countertop (after removing it from the plastic case) and use the hose-only portion of my vacuum to clean it after every load. Works like a charm! I also ordered extra filters on Amazon when I first got the dryer, but I've not had to use them yet. You can find them easily on Amazon if you such search for Panda filters. Here's a set that is only $7.94 for four filters: www.amazon.com/Exhaust-Filter-Sonya-Panda-Dryer/dp/B00DYZ1P4I/ref=sr_1_8?dchild=1&keywords=panda+dryer+filter&qid=1591579245&sr=8-8
@lindav11894 жыл бұрын
I suggest you take that heavy filter off and use the screen filter only. I dont understand why she uses that, it just limits the drying. I think it may have been just for shipping

It doesn't look very 'mini' to me. I have a much smaller one. Why would anyone ask if it's still working after only 1year. Mine is still going after 27 years. It's White Knight a really cheap brand in UK from a well know cheap catalogue store, Argos. I certainly hope you dryer kasts at least another 9 years. 😊

they have a smaller size! but I wanted a more of a regular size - the difference is that you can plug it to a regular outlet, for other dryers you need NEMA outlet
