I’m going through so very much right now. Had my heart shocked 4 times last Monday at the hospital. Have to have it done again next Thursday. Surgery to follow. A plethora of doctor’s appointments that have all been a blur this past month and a half. But I’ve been thinking of this song and arrangement all day. And for the past half hour that all disappeared as I grabbed my guitar and worked on this song with you. Thank you for the inspiration, thank you for the distraction, and thank you for the hope that beautiful music brings me.

I really hope you are fine man and your surgery went good! I scrolled through the comments and went to a full stop reading yours, it somewhat moved me so i wish you all the best man! But this song really is a jam

Love this song : beautifully played by Julian who is one of the best guitarists around. I like to think of it as a tribute to Emily Remler but it was composed years before she was even born. "Emily" is a popular song composed by Johnny Mandel, with lyrics by Johnny Mercer. It was the title song to the 1964 film The Americanization of Emily.

Julian's voice music is so original, modern and yet rooted in something profoundly earthy, as a guitarist myself I so much appreciate that Julian is actually playing the guitar, not trying to make it sound like something else; it's raw it's true and honest. I'd be curious to find out where this was recorded, in which room/studio?

Fantastic playing! But what is up with the camera work? We barely get to see Julian's fingers fly and at one point the screen was centered on his shoulder, with his back towards us. It's pro quality for sure, but just seems to be distracting. Instead of feeling like I'm in the audience where I switch focus between the players and hone in one the tension parts, we have this indie-film like zoom-in-then-out and now I feel like craning my neck to get a glimpse of Julian playing.
