I went from serious relationship to serious relationship for many yrs, idealizing them, seeing myself as part of their family right away. So personally, I have a pretty massive age gap with my husband (17 years) and generally try not to judge age gaps. However, having two back to back massive age gap relationships is bizarre and seems very intentional which I can’t approve of. If my husband had a younger partner before me I would have definitely not been with him because that would seem like a problematic pattern to me. And in that same vein, I hope this guy isn’t seriously naive enough to not find this bizarre and be very cautious.

But I do find it "interesting" that there always has to be a big age gap, and secondly, that these relationships always have to be professionally exploited.
