Zada Hedron Grinder is a commander deck that accomplishes a lot. It's budget (the linked list is well under $100), it's aggressive but it plays like a combo/storm deck. I hope you like it.

Heat shimmer with krenko out. Copy krenko and all other goblins with heat shimmer. Before you have to sacrifice the haste krenko...tap him for more haste guys...(idk if this would actually work but if it does then yay.

Would love an update to zada. I think make mischief is amazing for the deck, as is mogg fanatic, needle drop, and crash through (maybe). Going goblin? Gempalm incinerator is awesome. And psychosis crawler!

Sadly Crashing Through does not target a single creature and therefore the cantrip effect can't be copied by Zada. Needle Drop does look interesting, but I still find it hard to pull off.

Jumbo Commander couldn't you technically go infinite tokens by playing twin flame on zada and then heat shimmer? It would keep targeting the copied zada and normal zada and make infinite tokens.

Dude, I want to thankyou for sharing your build deck in this site. They told me KRENKO should be the commander. They did not see the creativity of the deck that you have probably influence 5,094 additional players. I only spent at most $30. Not including 40 lands and basic lands I already got. Zada was the first commander deck I ever built, I was just getting into commander and it was a simple and cheap deck for a new person to build. The one thing I did differently was a couple things that lead into a potential late game.

Billable just throw 3 dice and call odds or even for all for each copy. I have resolved 60+ copies and it doesn't take that long plus it's more exciting because of the random factor

Fernando Villalobos You get to choose how many times you flip for each target creature. You may or may not want to flip upwards of 3 times for each of them. Even the rules explanation on the card says you choose to continue flipping after the results of each flip. I'm sure your odds of winning two flips per each creature are exponentially greater and 6 damage for each success is a win condition alone. Oh be sure to bring a pencil and paper to keep tally of which tokens you've already flipped for and what the outcome was because people will either fight you about it during since it's so confusing with your token flooded board or later since they've fallen asleep at the table by now because nobody enjoys playing against the solitaire player. My point is yes it's a great card for the deck but, unless you have a captive audience, nobody will play this deck again without targeting you first at the table.

I just played a game with this and I need to tell this to you. I combo off on turn 5, getting thirty goblins off a hasty Krenko and a bunch of goblin tokens, Battle hymn for 32, draw a bunch off of expedite, pump with Rush of Adrenaline and Titan's strength, then just swing for hyper lethal. I added a fury of the horde to this deck, it does wonders.

i like having zada in my Ally commander deck as a lieutenant, it's so fun being able to rite of replication it. i know it actually doesnt duplicate itself because of the legendary rule, but every other ally you have is duplicated up to five times, that's board control right there if i've ever heard of it

Btw. copying spells with pyromancer's goggles or the dualcaster mage doesn't give additional zada triggers so that makes these much worse. They are still pretty good for copying token spells and rites, but it's something you should keep in mind.

This deck looks like a lot of fun. I'm fairly new to Commander and new to your channel, but am now a new subscriber. I really like Zada and Mirrorwing Dragon and have tried to use them in Standard with mediocre results. So I really like the idea of Commander deck built around Zada and that also uses Mirrorwing. In my limited Commander experience it seems the people I play with run enough artifact hate to get rid of the Commander protection cards, such as Swiftfoot Boots. And with this deck it's pretty darn key to keep Zada on the battlefield as much as possible. I would consider using Champion's Helm and Mask of Avacyn as additional ways to protect Zada should you lose your Swiftfoot boots. Otherwise this looks great! Thanks for the video!

Might I make a suggestion? Add mana echoes. If you have a minor goblin theme then each goblin will generate insane amounts of mana for each goblin in play.

It would work poorly, I would have to target Zada (meaning that 5 damage would be aimed at Zada) as I was targeting Zada she would copy the spell to my team but again the targets would be all wrong.

I absolutely love Zada, but I wish he was either red-blue or red-green. The spells each of those colors have would really add to this deck. Im thinking some unblockable blue spells or more pump or ramp for green.

Archetype of Agression would fit in well with its give and remove trample ability, especially if our man focus is very small token creatures. I'd also throw in Dictate of the Twin gods for that flash in that might make that combat round lethal instead of almost lethal.

It's not, cause after the first copy resolve most of your creature will die and the other copies will have no targets.

Throw in the (in)famous Paradox Engine and an Elixir of Immortality. Combined with a couple mana rocks/dorks, Battle Hymn, and/or Brightstone Ritual, if you just keep your creature count low enough you can repeatedly play your entire deck for Storm count and do something insane like Grapeshot or Fireball for infinity. All the other options are still there, too! (Board instant kills aren't the coolest but my LGS has a group of people who love to do those on like turn 3-5, so I have to be prepared.)

I think that Zada would be a good commander for the Akroan legion. All there heroic abilities are based on being targeted by spells and zada does that.

Mana Echoes is great for my Zada deck. Also Eldrazi monument and Soul of New Phyrexia for extra protection and they also make Chandra's Ignition lethal. Last but no least Desperate Ritual, Overblaze and other splice into arcane red spells become disgusting when targeting Zada Jumbo Commander could you brew a red burn deck for EDH? I built a Zozu the punisher to try and make games a lot faster and would like to see your take on burn for the format

Great suggestions! This deck is weak to board wipes and removal so I love the protection suggestions. Zozu is a cool burn commander. The closest I have made to a burn deck is a rakdos lord of riots deck that controls the board and burns people out but I have played modern & legacy burn and Rakdos does not play the same. I don't know if I can reproduce that playstyle in an EDH deck ... but I'll try.

You definitely don't have to tap Mutavault in order to make it a creature, this was a Standard auto-include for two years for a reason. Pay one colorless "or RED" and it becomes a goblin troll wizard zubera etc.

I bought 90% of the cards mentioned. Cost me $50 less. Arrived last week. Legion Loyalist at $5.99 is my most expensive. Cards that cost above $6 I have not gotten yet. Including the likes of Purphoros, God of the Forge. I played the day after a 4 players commander. It took me 20 minutes to win. I got up to 24 goblins +3/+3 trample with haste. Against mono GREEN which I have a had a hard time blocking the enchantments and "infects". 2nd BLACK/GREEN combos. Then WHITE/RED combos. A deck less than a $100. That's a bargain. MAGA, TRAITOR TO MORTALS deck without "The Abyss and Nether Void" cost me above $100 and that's 25% of the cards. "GONTI, LORD OF LUXURY" deck at 75% cost above $200.

I do not have enough mana sinks to make Braid of Fire work because you get the mana in your upkeep it will drain out before your main phase. I love the card in deck where your commander has an activated ability that can take advantage of the mana.

I feel like this could easily be a voltron styled deck using Zada to swing in with all those copied spells targeting him to get commander damage. While you swing in with Zada, you could easily chump block with all the tokens this deck pumps out.

Goblin Grenade does not work like you would want it to. Sacrificing the goblin is part of the cost and Zada only copies the spell. If you cast Goblin Grenade "targeting" Zada (sacrificing another goblin) Zada will copy that spell which will "target" each other creature you have and deal 5 damage to all of them. You cannot redirect that damage somewhere else.

I think she needs to be combined with another fun ability to really make a deck because going all in on phage is asking for a lot. I hope that there will be one more card released to help her out and I think it's comming, panharmonicon made etb decks crazy maybe they will put in another torpor orb effect (hopefully one that's bad enough to dodge modern and stay cheap). Long ramble short, I want one more card to facilitate the combo. But I will certainly include her in the 99 soon.

Might build this it looks fun, fast and cheap to build but for your next deck you should do a Damia, Sage of Stone but make it a mana ramp big creature deck because I am stumped on how to build it.

When I last built Damia I had a little lower and proactive curve (and tons of ramp) so that I could empty my hand and let Damia refill it. My sultai big creature deck was The Mimeoplasm. I think we need to find some synergies to make us want to play damia over other commanders.

The cards I had on the battle field was ZADA, KRENKO, Mob Boss, MOGG War Marshal, Alloy Myr, Uncanny Speed, Indomitable Creativity, Battle Hymn, Hordeling Outburst, Invigorated Rampage, Goblinslide, Impact Tremors, Swiftfoot Boots and 3 mountains. With only 4 available mana and only 12 life remaining. My board wipe turn goes like this: 4 manas. BATTLE HYMN= Add mountain to your mana pool for each creature you control. INDOMITABLE CREATIVITY= Destroy X target artifacts/creatures. GOBLINSLIDE= Whenever you cast a noncreature spell, you may pay 1. If you do, put a 1/1 red Goblin token with haste. KRENKO, MOB BOSS= Tap put X 1/1 red Goblin tokens onto the battlefield, where X is the number of goblins you control. Winning turn: 4 manas. INVIGORATED RAMPAGE= Choose one - Target creature gets +4/+0 and gains trample until end of turn. UNCANNY SPEED= Target creature gets +3/+0 and gains haste until end of turn. 25 red 7/1 GOBLIN TOKENS= 175 HITS divided to 3 opponents= 58 HITS each. Not including ZADA 10/3 and KRENKO 10/3, MOGG WAR MARSHAL 8/1 and ALLOY MYR 9/2= 37 HITS.

my version of zada is completely all-in combo with 4 infinite combos. My average 'go off' is turn 5 or turn 4.

also it's completely all in. Completely. Very little (if any) removal like chaos warp, etc. Most of the losses were against taxes with a turn 1 authority where I could only go infinite with impact tremors out, so I couldn't kill him.

yeah thats what mekes the pre-constructed decks so nice. yes, you can open it and play it all ready, but you can upgrade it and easly make 3 upgraded decks from one

like the mono white commander. it can be upgrated to white control, a token's deck and/or one based on the planeswalker and artifacts (equipment)

I understand the ZADA concept. But not 100% of the mechanics. We were debating it on the table. The ability to draw a card when Zada is the target. The other creatures at play has no such draw abilities. Coz if that is the case. I should have won when I only got 16 goblins besides the other creatures in the battlefield. I got and played 4 instants and 1 sorcery, all with +3 counters trample and haste till end of turn. In all, the deck was fun. Won me 3-0. An average of 30 min. My ZOMBIE deck 4 wins-6 loss. 1:30 min average. BLUE AND GREEN is a ZOMBIE killer.

Glad you are having success with the deck. The reason why casting cards with Zada is so confusing is because we are creating a HUGE stack. On MTGO the computer would just visualize this all for you but in real life it can be hard to conceptualize. What you can do is slow down the actions for your opponents. 1. Cast a spell on Zada let's say Crimson Wisps (haste + draw a card) 2. Zada has a cast trigger because you cast a spell that only targets her so that Trigger goes on the stack 3. BOOM your crimson wisps gets copied targeting every other creature you have. You can symbolize this copying by putting dice on the original spell that is still on the stack waiting to be resolved or you can even put some sort of placeholder on each creature symbolizing a copy of crimson wisps 4. Start resolving all of your copies of crimson wisps that means drawing tons of cards and going off. Does that help a little? I might goldfish the deck on camera to convince people how great the deck is. I know that you are already sold on the power of Zada! Good luck

Thanks it does help and we democratically agreed on the resolve. Because of that, "They my opponents attack Zada". No luck today on the draw. I manage only 2 goblin tokens. A lot of instants on hand but only adding trample and haste, +2s and +3s. After that, I'm a sitting duck to "flying" and "Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger". I was out within 15 min. I was able to play 8 mountains and got Zada out by 4 and start attacking. Patience is a virtue. And it was. My opponent draw a sol ring and got his commander out "Ulamog". Other opponents got 2 Planeswalkers out and ridiculous enchantments that adds multiple 4/4 flying and multiple 1/1 saprolings. My sol ring, mana vault, voltaic key was at the bottom of the library. Chaos Warp was at the middle. I already had my White deck and Black deck on hand and decided to leave it in the house. Including the tokens and lands. I played a total of 25 cards and 2 sorceries on hand.

The other day I draw a card stating "copy target creature you control". I don't have the card right now. How about "copy any permanent you control" or "token copy creature". So I made a copy of ZADA in play afterwards I played an instant +3/+3. First +3 to original ZADA then the rest of the creatures until I +3 ZADA copy. I bounce it back to add another +3 until the copy. Bounce it again +3. All my creatures got 3X of +3. Until someone questioned? "When does it stop? Are you sure that's how it should be?" Did I discover an "INFINITE COMBO HERE". LOL. Need your input. We did not finish the game at all. The game lasted 5 min. We started a new game instead with all players using a different deck.

I have a Zada deck I built as soon as she came out. I even made a deck tech of it on KZbin for CoolStuffInc. Don't make the same mistake I did DO NOT put Soul's Fire in there is doesn't work the way you think it does it only lets you do damage to yourself and kill all of your creatures haha

Yeah I read that while doing research. It looked so promising at first. Do you still have the deck? It got a lot of great tools with Aether Revolt.

I wasn't trying to plug anyone quite frankly I feel that your channel has the highest quality content anywhere online for commander decklists and brewing ideas. I can try to post my list on tapped out if you or anyone else is interested. My super secret tech is Spiraling Embers and Scent of Cinder from all the card draw!

William Henry the way it's worded does make it seem like it would work I know! Basically Zada's ability only triggers when the spell targets Zada and only Zada. Soul's Fire has the word target printed on it twice. One to target your creature and the other to target another creature or player. Because it has two targets Zada's ability won't activate unless you choose both instances as her which is completely useless and a losing play 99% of the time.
