French Contrast training is a combination of complex and contrast training methods developed by track and field coach Gilles Cometti.2 It involves four exercises in a quad set fashion to target all the components necessary to improve explosive work capacity. The complex training method requires the execution of a plyometric movement after the execution of a heavy multi-joint strength exercise. The French Contrast Protocol is a specialized system of training for advanced athletes and trainees to improve force production, velocity, and explosive work in a fatigued state. It targets all the components necessary to improve explosive work capacity, inhibits proprioception components inhibiting optimal power production, increases fiber recruitment, and increases calcium entry. French Contrast training is ideal for all athletes.

Love every aspect of ur workouts and the depth in explaining them. I’m already doing the upper, lower and full body contrast workouts on your channel plus 2 days of playing volleyball and 1-2 of rest, how would I fit this workout into my schedule or would you recommend maybe switching lose body for this vertical workout?
