Kyle, God Bless Ya. You were right, it took me exactly one week to learn this heel toe step. A little every day, didn't think it was gonna work and all of a sudden on the seventh day it just fell in place, much to my surprise. Really happy I discovered this sport in my old age, so much fun. Thank you for all your teaching abilities and for the 10% discount on the Crossrope.

I'm 49 years old and have been in the gym for 17 years. I recently decided to switch up my cardio routine and wanted to skip rope like "Rocky." I bought a good, weighted rope and set to work. I absolutely sucked my first go-round. I kinda sucked my second. My legs, mainly my calfs, are a sore that I haven't known since I started doing legs years ago. I'm positive that I had the same stature as a new born calf trying to take those first few steps. I have a newfound respect for people who can skip rope the way you can. I'm determined to get there, hence me saving this video. Thank you.

Lol I know that feeling from when I started! Just don't overdo it because shin splints and plantar fasciitis are the two most common injuries people face when starting because they get too hyped and go too hard to fast. The quickest way i picked this up was doing footwork at my desk while watching this video to see if i could memorize the feeling even if i wasn't jumping. It's not too disimilar to cycling through moments like riding a bike. Counting to four helps too and taking it slooooow. Then when I started jumping for real it took 15 minutes! So I didn't tire myself out before I learned the movement!
@Jump15official3 жыл бұрын

@kuya.justin2 жыл бұрын
@@ahmedibnhanbalashshaybani1009 if you are still trying to learn it I would recommend you to first break it into small steps then combine all of them (without rope) and practice this a few days till you feel confident. Then you can add the rope and it probably feel a little weird at first but you will get used to it. All the skills in the world need practice and muscle memory to perform them flawlessly after some time. Dont be discouraged if it doesnt work seeminglessly even after some days

@@Jump15official Thank you man, much appreciated, its taking its time to heal since I have to walk 30,000 steps a day or so in my job.. I have a good base for cardio because i've recently lost 35kg and did a lot of cardio, guess my body just wasn't used to the different stress of jump rope, will go at it slower next time and focus more in stretches before and after, think that will help and build up to jumping rope each day rather than from the start. At the moment its still pretty banged up! Got 3 days off work now though so I'm going to do my best to get it healed up in that time! Fingers crossed. If you need any ideas for a video or a quick segment to add to one of them I know i'd find it super helpful to see what kind of warm ups and stretches you'd recommend for injury prevention. Thanks again

On your jumps you must be putting a little force towards jumping backwards. Instead try to go forwards just a little bit and it may help you even it out. If you start traveling forward then reverse it again and as you practice you will learn to gain more control of your jump👍
