Definitely pushing your arms at when crossing to make the loop big enough to jump through. Within 5 mins I could do 5 in a row. Great video!

I’ve watched different videos and have been practicing the criss cross for a year plus now and somehow my arms manage to look awkward and not look symmetrical. I’ve been filming my form to see what I’m doing wrong and I still struggle. I look forward to getting this move down to where I can do consecutive criss crosses in a rapid pace and look seamless like you and other amazing jump rope folks like Rush Athletics

Hi hoping i could get some help, i can do the criss cross albeit inconsistently, my biggest prob is after doing the first X (cross) with my arms and I go back to the regular position, sometimes my rope gets tangled... any help would be much appreciated!!!

Play with spacing between your hands during the cross and uncross. If your hands are really close together as they pass, there is a higher probability of the rope tangling on itself.

Another tip is doing one regular jump first to get the Momentum. It find it much harder to start with crossed arms.

Do you have a video of exercises you can do and learn when ur feets need some days off ? If there is drills we can do with the rope like siden swings or back swings drills ? So i dont stop fully for days without using that time to atleast learn something. Ive transition to barefoot shoes and the feet need more time than regular shoes after jumping. 😅

Probably start around 8.5ft and gradually shorten as you dial in your form.👍

@@Jump15official Great thank you for the reply! I’ve been trying really hard to get the criss cross down but I think I’ve been using a rope that’s too long. Mine is 10 ft and I’m about 5’10. Hopefully adjusting the rope to 8.5 or 8 will make criss crosses better

It can depend on form so first go to 9 ft and then continue doing it in increments so you don't go too short. And don't cut until your sure you want that length! 👍

i jump rope with the 1/4 rope i can almost all the basic moves although when i use the speed rope i can not do the basic move. where am i going wrong

You may need to slow down. A speed rope may be out pacing your feet or your technique is breaking down.

Howdy Kyle, Many thanks for posting your work. I can do 2, 3 or 4 bounces, then cross. I can do that for over a minute. But every time I try to link a few crosses together without a bounce in-between, I trip. The rope hits me in the ankles. I tried going to your website but when I do I get a security error. Is your website up? Would love to send you a video of me tripping, so you help me get it.
