Regardless how bad these cars are, they will never be made from the factory again. They will continue to age like wine.

At 50 years old these cars really do look better than any other cars built before or after them, and I'm not even a Mopar guy, I can't afford to get my hands on one. And there ain't that many of them here in the UK. I drive American iron every day, I wouldn't have it any other way but I sure wish I had a 68-69 charger. Great videos, thanks very much for showing us all what we're missing. Cheers

Chris I'm glad your bringing these cars back from the dead. They deserve it. I worked in the restoration field for 25 +, I share your sentiments too. These antique cars be it Chargers or whatever were never built by the factory to be put in glass cases. They were transportation pure and simple. So keep driving them and enjoying them there still great fun and you will always find them in a parking lot easily seen in the sea of look alike cars

When I was in university my buddy's MOM had a 69 Charger with a 440 - he thought it was a magnum (automatic). We went out for coffee - 5 of us - 3 grown men in the back seat, nobody touching shoulders - these are BIG cars. He was complaining all night about how badly out of tune it was, and it had 90 000 miles on it. We were facing north, he wanted to go south. So, he pulled into the intersection and walked on it. Engine roar, exhaust blaring and tires howling! Half way up the block I pulled myself out of the back seat and looked back up the street. The intersection was full of blue smoke and there were two solid lines of burnt rubber that came right up to the car - it was still burning the tires. "90 THOUSAND miles and badly out of tune!" I've been a Mopar fan ever since. Mind you, my brother is building a 71 Nova with a 437 stroker (454 crank in a 396 block) - 550 hp on pump gas into a real SS 4 speed car. That'll be a sweet Chebby.

Chris, great new video..got yourself a 20 and 40 Chargers ..Green one looks sharp from 20 feet away and well the Red one from 40 ....However..I understand why you bought them and there R/T 's how bad it that ,? Do you ever get " buyers remorse " ,? .I guess at that point like you say you look at what parts are there for a parts car or being a R/T it needs to be put back together. I'm not a fan of the Green on the Chargers ..I have to admit that the Grinch that you sold ( bad ass ) and this green one here changed my thinking..I quess it's all about the shade of Green. I like this Green one here ...yep...just the way it sits !! I'm older now and I like the automatic with the black trim ..and the Cragers ..wow..just sets it off like in 1970 ...Glad you're finding these Chargers and covering them up for cripes sakes . Brilliant Idea !! Haha..Hope to meet you in person some time !! Also a follower of Jed at Scott's Speed..from Royal Oak Michigan !! Happy Hunting !!! Love all youte channel keep the vids coming !! And yes, better looking than cars of today. And the visceral part of the experience can’t be touched. I have a Dodge Magnum RT. Starts every time, runs great every time, looks as new (except for drivers seat) after 13 years, and I bought it new. Awesome car. Ticks MOST of the boxes. Smokes tires. Yes. Hauls ass. Yes. Faster than all but the mightiest of yesteryear cars. Yes. Looks great. Yes. Handles great. Yes. Carries tons of gear. Yes. Tows my trailer like a champ. Yes. But the feel, the character, the little things that piss you off and make you love it, no, not there. I’ve had and driven plenty of heyday cars. Form my first car, 1971 Torino 500, to my 1968 Country Squire, 1967 LTD coupe, 1967 Galaxie 500, and on and on, they all had CHARACTER. Sideways in the rain with the 390 Squire was not something. people see every day. Vacuum operated headlight covers in action, not seen today at all. I put the Torino through almighty hell, as if I was filming an episode of Dukes of Hazzard every day. And it took the beating. Yes I had to replace ball joints and such, but fun, fun, fun. And character not found today. I love my Magnum. Best car I’ve ever owned. And it has character. But it’s not dripping with it. Good or bad? I don’t know. But the computer that has most likely kept me from totaling this car also keeps me from keeping it sideways through 200’ of curve. That’s not fun. The Torino could be kept sideways around a whole parking lot. And those are the things that make you smile from ear to ear and that feel sticks with you for hours. Drive it. And drive it again. And live. And smoke em if you got em. 🤘🤘

Last seen in Longview Texas when I had to move cross country almost overnight and basically gave it away to a gearhead down the street. It was a solid 383 auto car. Fairly solid n complete except trunk floor and a-pillars. Least it was in 99 LOL...

When I started watching this video, I wondered what part of PA you were in. Then I saw the orange Charger on the trailer and instantly recognized where you were. I live only 20 miles from there, and wish I had known you were out this way. I've been trying to buy a 69 Charger off a guy right up the road from me for years, and I would have liked for you to see it and get your opinion. I think he will sell soon. I first saw it sitting outside, and I told him to at least store it in the garage if he didn't want to sell. Thankfully it was in his garage the next time I talked to him. I'm not surprised at the condition of your orange Charger. Sitting outside, especially on grass all that time is the worst way to store a car. In this area, we have winters that are very wet and damp, and cars rot like crazy here, especially with all the salt and spray they put on our roads. Anybody who has a nice car that they wanna keep long term parks them in storage all winter. I'll never understand why people let cars sit out and rust away like that.
