Ok So Jurassic World No Way Home is finally here and the brand new movie brings together the old and new cast so that they can take down the Dinosaurs from the days of future past. This new film is basically about how life, uh, finds a way and throughout this video we're gonna be breaking down the plot, ending and also what we think of the film.
You bet Jurassic be full of bad puns and this video will have major spoilers so if you don't want it ruined then I suggest you extinct the video. Make sure you hit the thumbs up button if you enjoy it and also don't forget to subscribe for breakdowns like this every week.
With that out the way, thanks for clicking this, now lets get into Jurassic World Dominion.
So the movie is set four years after the events of Fallen Kingdom and primarily it follows Owen, Claire and Maisie who now live out in the wilderness, attempting to hide the latter away from the world. Last movie we learned that Maisie was a clone of her mother Charlotte and throughout this film we unearth exactly why she's so special. We discover that Maisie was an immaculate conception and that her mother carried her in her own womb which is something that was hidden from Maisie by her grandfather.
Turned out that she was genetically bred to be exactly the same, however Charlotte discovered that she had a rare genetic condition within her that would prove to be fatal. She managed to remove this from Maisie so that she no longer carried this disease but she took the secret of how to accomplish this to her grave. We discover that Dr. Wu has been seeking her out so that he can find a way to erradicate the genetically modified locust that he's been creating for the company Biosyn.
Yep, movie about Dinosaurs and we gotta deal with Locust.
Now Biosyn is basically an opposite to INGEN and it's headed up by Lewis Dodgson who you might remember as being a character from the first Jurassic Park movie. He's the only actor not to return because the guy who originally played him is now a convicted sex offender so instead they've got in The Amazing Spider-man's dad.
Also Biosyn...like Biological Sin...incase...incase you were wondering who the bad guys were.
Now he's headed up the locust project and it's theorised by Ellie that these swarms have been attacking crops throughout the world that aren't made through seeds from the company. They're on their way to causing a food crisis that will lead to billions of people starving and thus she goes to get help from Dr. Alan Grant.

The Dino Black Market was very creative and one of my favorite scenes. Plus seeing the OGs one last time felt great. Alan Grant was my mood the entire movie. Honestly his moment where he kinda learns how to hault Beta long enough to capture her was touching cause he was a huge raptor guy in the first and third movies and for him to do that personally is big so that I would call a moment in this movie for sure.

I’m glad I went to see it today with my kids instead of light year, we all enjoyed it. I saw the original in the cinema back as a kid & this had a good bit of nostalgia to it with the original characters. It did feel a bit like a bond movie in the earlier part but it still felt like a Jurassic park movie too.

Dominion wasn’t meant to be a full on serious amazing adventure movie, at least that’s what I think. What I believe they were trying to do was just end the franchise in a fun way by bringing out so many new creatures, plots, and scenes.

I liked it but I missed the first 30 mins of the movie cause of my dad misreading our ticket 💀 On top of that it was not an IMAX theater, so the image was cropped on the top and bottom. If after all of that I enjoyed the tension, it has to have been a good movie. I'll watch it again on 4K Blu Ray and I expect to love it Damn I was PISSED at my dad

@@CarolCityCane305 I appreciate your opinion, but I disagree. I can agree that the whole locust idea felt a bit too extreme but being honest, I didn’t really mind it. What I wished they had focused on more though was Rexy and the Giganotosaurus, as they got a shockingly small amount of screen time. But all in all, it was just nice to see a Jurassic World movie go off with everything it could and squeeze it into one movie, the movie still being the longest one of course. So if I could describe dominion in one word it would most likely be thrilling.

"If you turn your brain off" is exactly what you should do. A film about dinosaurs isn't going to be groundbreaking anymore, but if you go with an open mind you will enjoy the jump scares, the dinosaurs, some of the characters etc. It's not as good as the first of this trilogy, and definitely not as good as Jurassic Park itself, but my daughter and I really enjoyed it.

I think that one of the greatest things about this movie was how Maisie accepted Owen and Claire as her parents and how they showed unconditional love towards her, just like real parents would. The three of them and their chemistry in this movie just felt good to me. It was also very cool and nostalgic to see the original trio back in action and it's always great to see new species in these movies!

Absolute hard disagreement, this movie was PHENOMENAL and NOT because I had to "shut off my brain for pure action entertainment" either, but quite the opposite! Clearly everyone is expecting the same Marvel *all-action-no-plot* outline but this is a film and franchise that makes the viewers think and wonder what the correct course of action is between outright eradicating the dinos once and for all and stay safe or finding a way to co-exist with the possibility of them taking over our planet! It's very sad that flashing lights and convoluted plot movies such as Doctor Strange and No Way Home make almost a billion $ while gems like Dominion get berated for being "boring" for those viewers with the mental comprehension of a goldfish, but I for one thoroughly enjoyed this film and was $$ well spent!!!

Um, the first 2 JW movies also made a billion... It's also unfair to compare to Marvel, since Marvel has just a alot of movies and series' backing it up, aswell as having a lot of fans in general. Also the most logical action would probably be to kill them ngl, not only would they destroy our ecosystem, it will also cost billions to trillions in damage. Ofc every ecosystem will reach an equilibrium eventually, theres no stopping the destruction before it tho. I also dont think it makes you "think and wonder" that much, only the first JP did that and so far nothing has really topped that in that aspect(or even other aspects like filmmaking, science, morality swap, entertainment value, and even graphics, cause nothing beats good ol practical efx, cg hold up too even today.)

There were a bunch of neat dinosaur moments but everything ground to a halt once all 8 characters were together. It was weird how, once all the jurassic-verse folks met, suddenly every set piece and every shot had to have them all in a line reacting to stuff and being caught in the middle of things. Every shot. And why did they fix the locusts, they had an easy setup for the next three movies to be a dino post-apocalypse. And the three after that could be dino-riders. We almost had Dino-Riders!

IMO it contains the right amount of fan service, new dinos that deserved the appearance in the movie, a very cool new character in Kayla the pilot and the movie serves for a very good and needed wrap up. That said, the movie lacks in story, there's nothing complex in it and I dare say if you have watched the trailer, you have almost already watched the movie then. It's very predictable, but as a fan of dinos and Jurassic films, I still loved it!

It doesn't matter what they do now, they'll never recreate that original impact on audiences, or the magic, so it needs to die. I loved this movie. Seeing the OG trio on screen was the best. Think everyone had great moments in the movie except Owen. Pratt took a backseat which I'm not really upset about. I'm glad the main villain wasn't just another big dinosaur and it took a more science route like the book. The ending with the dinos integrating with other wildlife was awesome

I definitely enjoyed it! Loved the nostalgia feels. Was it the best movie in the franchise, definitely not, but I feel that uniting the previous cast with the new was the sticking point in the movie for me. I would of liked it more if they had even gotten the original kids to come back as well.

I agree with you both. Same problem I had with the previous movie and the Indoraptor. There are enough REAL dinos to scare us, they don't need to create "fake ones" (meaning ones that never existed - I understand they are all technically fake). On that note, they don't need to create a HUGE plot around friggin' locusts and a cloned human being a way to stop the stupid locusts. Dinosaurs are ENOUGH. It reminds me of that plot leak of the never made Jurassic 4 that would have had human/dino hybrids created for the military. Why? Just give us cool dinosaurs and a reason for people to run from them

See, I really liked the movie, because I didn’t heap expectations on it. And the few I had were met. I didn’t really mind that their weren’t any many prominent human deaths, though I do get that that would bum so folks out. I just wanted cool throwbacks, to see dinosaurs, and to see where they brought their various plot threads. I actually really like the whole sequel trilogy. It feels like it tore down that first park, but like in a good way? Every problem, from the issues Malcom brought up in the first movie (remember how he warned against using genetic power? Specifically that corporatizing it was bad and playing with life (genetic power) was dangerous?) to the actual physical location. The island blowing in the second one is a good throw back to the book. It’s not perfect by any means, but nothing’s perfect. The movie was just what I wanted it to be, it gave me what I needed, even if Owen totally would have died if he fell in a frozen lake like that XD

Really glad Paul made a video on this movie .The film is really underrated for some reason. It is way better than fallen kindgom and can probably be considered the best sequel after the original alongside jurassic world. No movie is perfect , not even jurassic park !

My biggest gripe has to be with Doctor Wu’s arc. They hyped him up as the big bad in the first 2 of the new trilogy, only to have him do a complete 180 in this movie because “reasons”. Instead they made a Jurassic Steve Jobs/We-Work guy clone out of a 1 off character. I even watched the Camp Cretaceous (which is CANON) series on Netflix - which made the arc to head as Dr. Wu was doing something even more despicable. Severely letdown.

Wu became my favorite villain. I can't believe they turned him into a beaten puppy. ESPECIALLY because they were still carrying on with the bad-guy thing in CC! I was so excited to see him do some evil ****! He could have lived or died, but don't put a sweater on him and make him hang his head! My brain doesn't know how to handle this kind of trauma :D

I went with my family to watch the movie, and after the movie ended, i was giving it 7/10 but, when we are walking out of the theater my mom said she cried during the movie even she didn´t watch the other 5 films. If my mom have that connection with the characters she didn´t know, I think this movie deserve a 9/10, have little weird things, but it was a great end for the trilogy.

There were many “oh that’s convenient“ situations, (like the car just happens to end up right in front of the other characters), but I ENJOYED watching it. I don’t need the blood and guts and bone crushing sounds every second of a movie.

Just watched it finally. For what it’s worth, I absolutely enjoyed the dinosaur action and some of the implementation of dinosaurs in the real world like the black market idea. That’s basically the movie to a greater extent imo..lots of great or interesting ideas that lacked the proper execution. And at the very least, I’m glad they realized the mistakes of Fallen Kingdom and properly redeemed/retconned most of the issues in a way better manner than The Rise Of Skywalker retconned TLJ.

I am a massive, massive fan of this franchise and apart from Jurassic Park 3, I didn’t think it would be possible for them to make a sequel that didn’t live up to my expectations! But I left the cinema feeling completely underwhelmed, so many missed opportunities and not enough human deaths. As the whole plot focused on the main cast old and new, there was never any real threat to life and as a result that removed any suspense from the movie. This wasn’t the closing capture I think the franchise deserved. Going forward I would like to see stand-alone movies, like the clean up operation after Jurassic Park went south and the hunt for the barbisol can etc. Or even a live action TV series.

What is annoying about the Jurassic World Series is that creative writing went through the same voting system. For the 3 Jurassic Park movies 2 sets of different scripts were written. One for a Rated R movie and One for a PG-13 movie. The studio has to vote on which Script to pick. Jurassic Park and Jurassic Park the Lost World got the Rated R script but was brought down to PG-13 in editing. Jurassic Park 3 got the PG-13 script and they worked toward R but never fully made it. With the Jurassic World’s, the Scripts were between PG and PG-13. Jurassic World and Dominium got PG but edited to PG-13, the second movie was the opposite. What’s very interesting is that the Spielberg company will release the Rated R script for each movie a year after it comes out. There is a rumor going around that one of these unused script will be used in A HBO exclusive Jurassic mini series.
