Always nice to run into friends on your travels. I noticed that the pub had Sierra Nevada Pale Ale available. It's a decent brew, though I'm much more inclined to a Stone Arrogant Bastard because, well, I =am= worthy! (Look it up, if you haven't already!) :-) If you get over here to AZ in the February time frame, we have a statewide "Beer Week" that features hundreds of local and national craft brewers. It's called the Arizona Strong Beer Festival and is held in Phoenix. 2021 was cancelled and no word on '22, but we're hoping! And they =do= mean strong beers! In '20, I sampled several that were 10+%. Thank God for drivers! :-)

The 'Maggie' (1954) is a suberbly fun, wry look at life and adventure aboard a working vessel. She's a coal powered 'coastal puffer' rather than a canal boat, but the film caputres all that romance and ''top jobness' you alude to.

Not sure about the 'top job' for the 'lucky few' - I reckon it was a bloody tough way to scrape a living! I recently read, and heartily recommend, 'Hold On a Minute' by Tim Wilkinson. Published back in 1965, it's the story of a socialite couple who give working on the cut a good go but have to give it up within a year due to injuries sustained on the job. Anther cracking vlog, Robbie. #carryoncranking!

Sierra Nevada Pale Ale??? Good, very hoppy, "west coast" ... (as in west coast of the USA) style of pale ale... a long way from home! Probably as easy to get "over there" as Fullers is over here!

Great vid as always. Brill to see you practicing with the drone, looking forward to seeing what these new angles will bring us! (Also, I wonder if the long grass is deliberate as part of ‘no-mow-May’? Some folk find it untidy, I’ve rather enjoyed seeing it all 🙂). Take care.
@RobbieCumming3 жыл бұрын
Funny I thought so too (re grass) as CRT have recently said they don’t want to cut it as much but the next morning there were a team of guys down to strim it all back
@melbeadle98523 жыл бұрын
Oh that’s a shame! I think maybe they are under pressure to cut it back. The same happened at our local playing field; the ranger was excitedly telling us his plans to leave a whole section long and mow pathways through it. It was amazing, so pretty, lots of flowers emerged - and fun for the kids, but was not there for long before it was all mowed again. Anyway, thanks again for the fab vlog 🙂
