Biggest complaint about "Manufactured" homes. 50 years of being out, they still look like trailers. They can tape and texture the inside walls, no problem. If you look at the outside, it still looks like a trailer. Now if you can fix that, that would be a game changer.
@timebandito42783 жыл бұрын
I completely agree. I live in a manufactured home, and I plan to move out of state into another one, but that is only because of the land that it will be on. I will NEVER live in another mobile home community, and if it weren't for this land, I'd definitely buy a real house or a condo. And these mobile homes aren't cheap -- if you're going to spend that kind of money, why don't you just buy a real house that actually sits on the ground

Can you get any value from a manufactured home or do they continue to depreciate?
@keltecdan3 жыл бұрын
@@timebandito4278 I also live in a manufactured home in a community and agree that it is not ideal because of restrictions and lot rent. I don’t mind the actual mobile since it’s a 2015 solitaire home. The housing market is crazy here in Texas and it’s a sellers market and I’m planning on selling while the market is red hot.
@timebandito42783 жыл бұрын
@@keltecdan Ya I can see that. Mine is a 1983 and it could still sell for almost $100 grand, but that is only because I live in California. The thing with mobile homes is that you have to do so much maintenance on them to keep them up that it costs almost the same, in the long run, as a regular house. So IMO there really is no advantage. Most people see it as the cheaper option, but TBH, it's not really that much cheaper

I live in Louisiana and have lived in a 2,500 sq ft home that had the master closets in the master bath. I was worried when we first moved in but quickly realized the central heat and air units took care of any worries because the system had vents in both closets. During the summer the closets were cool and in the winter, they were warm. And they were never damp! The solution is to make sure ducts are run to the closets and it will be fine!
