It was actually Brexit fatigue and the inability of the Theresa May government who failed to get a majority over 2 years to pass Brexit legislation that got Brexit done. Good evening Dirk, maybe German like me. The first reaction in our media is quite polite, they speak of a sensational come back. But in the following days the analyses would be more profound. Imagine how the Murdoch papers would have reacted if Angela Merkel had resigned, her successor had failed and she came back. However, our media is more critical with Liz Truss, DPA has published a comment on the Yahoo site. Her visions of a Singapore on Thames have crashed, but one should not forget Boris Johnson had a similar vision, check his speech at the last Conservative conference before Corona at the end of 2021. Seeing some people actively encouraging Johnson to come back to the dispatch box as PM, has really solidified Neil's idea. The pattern of finding excuses for the abusive ex, the 'running back' with promises of a better future, memories of only the 'good times, and the painful circle that unfortunately follows in such a relationship, really is telling. Reckon the crowd booing Boris and his latest wife had read the newspaper story about Conservative MP walked in on her performing a submissive sex act on the married BJ in his Foreign Secretary Chambers in return for a six figure salary position in government? Which she was prevented from getting... So she ended up living in number 10 with Boris' spawn and spending hundreds of thousands of pounds in redecorating, courtesy of tory donors. It really isn't sexist to call out golddiggers like Carrie Johnson, it's positively a service to society to call out Boris on every utter act of bastardry both in corrupt governance and his private life.

Anyone even entertaining the notion of Johnson being PM again needs their head checking. This amnesia is simply absurd, he was disgraced, a lying, adulterous, pompous, irresponsible and self serving impression of a human being. It seems that these idiots would have us stuck on this horror show of a roundabout in perpetuity, incapable of learning from prior mistakes.

The absolutely apocalyptic implosion that Johnson's return should cause within the Tory party might be what's needed to force a GE sooner.
