The Cochrane Gambit is a speculative knight sacrifice that arises in the Petroff Defence: 1.e4 e5 2.Nf3 Nf6 3.Nxe5 d6 and now 4.Nxf7!?
Veselin Topalov, being a very energetic and aggressive player, chooses double edged Cochrane gambit in Petrov's defense against Vladimir Kramnik, thus trying to take his opponent by surprise and quickly gain advantage. But Kramnik manages to defend successfully and in the end the players agree to a draw in view of a perpetual check! A draw, but a fighting draw which can raise a huge interest!

At 7:53 Suren says, "The game started with a bishop sacrifice and ended up with a bishop sacrifice ..." Actually it started with a knight sacrifice.
