"This Is Why" is the brand new track by Paramore after a 4 year hiatus! I haven't spoken about Paramore before on this channel, but I'm excited to take a look to see what this new song is all about. Are you a fan of Paramore? I'm not sure if many of you are or not, but tell me what you think about this track "This Is Why" in the comments.

I dont dislike the music now, but i hate when people say mature and evolve. Paramores first albums had a very original sound and are hits for a reason. It seems to me they went the route of a million bands and recreated something that has already been done years ago.

@@codyscards6698 I honestly don't see their first couple albums as being any more original than their later albums. I mean, AWKIF and Riot were clearly influenced by other pop punk/emo bands of the 90's and 00's. And I honestly can't think of a single song or album that sounds like This Is Why. I'm so ready for another Paramore album - so many people were distraught by their self titled (Aint it fun, Still into you) and After Laughter, but I don't think those albums are bad at all - in fact, Still into you is probably one of my favorite pop rock songs of all time, and After Laughter is my current favorite Paramore album (though, Brand New Eyes is really close). They've never missed. For those who are sad that they don't sound like they did in 2009... its 2022 and they're a decade older. If they still sounded like they did in '09, i doubt they'd be as successful, and the music would be stagnant. Same issue i have with arctic monkeys fans who cant get over their departure from garage indie rock.

Spot on, they’ve never missed at all. People want bands to sound the same forever which I’ve never understood. @@marcushill8926 100000% agree. Arctic monkeys have an insane progression, and so do Paramore. If you're not bringing something new to the table after 3 album cycles, are you really growing? There's always an arctic monkeys/ paramore album for the mood, if i want something bright and fun i listen to After laughter/self titled, if i want to be emo i listen to Brand New Eyes, if i want to be hyped and angry Riot! is right there... they have staying power, they can do these different styles and pull it off, an indicator of their quality as musicians!

I agree. To me it is just sad or numb when bands "phone it in" on albums. They can have their signatures but I want hear musicians evolving their overall skills. Express whatever seasons of their lives or relatable themes. All for it. There is an artist (who will be nameless) Pops on the scene simply by a single song bit in a movie. Intrigued I checked out the past albums, who no one cared about. Sounds great indie. Next two albums after "discovery" great each different. Musically evolving. Now a complete boring fest of repeat.

Would be cool if you check out a power trio called The Warning. Villarreal sisters are the real deal, very talented powerhouse musicians all three of them, and they're just getting started on the level of their career where they find themselves now. They're currently touring on their second leg with Halestorm and will soon open for Guns 'N' Roses in their hometown of Monterrey in Mexico. They also opened for Foo Fighters in Mexico City earlier in the year, a mere 10 days before Taylor passed in fact, one of the last bands that opened for them before the tragedy struck. They even got to briefly interact with Taylor and Dave as the two were on their way to their set, Taylor told them they sounded amazing. More and more people are discovering them and they just keep blowing people away, especially in a live setting where they shine the brightest. Lzzy Hale gifted the lead vocalist/guitarist a custom made Gibson Explorer midset on stage, in a wonderful surprise gesture and expression of appreciation. That's how much they mean to Lzzy, she's been inspired since the day she discovered them, and a veteran band like Halestorm has nothing but praise every time they get asked about them in interviews. Their latest album ERROR produced with David Bendeth, dropped in June and it's their debut album as signed artists. Oldest is 22, youngest is 17, but they have nearly a decade of experience and history as a band and even more than that as musicians. Sky is the limit for this band and I think you'll absolutely love them, brilliant musicians, songwriters and performers.

Paramore are my favourite band of all time, each album has it's own unique sound but in my opinion, they *ALL* sound like Paramore. They've been a fantastic band from their first album and whilst their pinnacle in my opinion ius Brand New Eyes, they just continue to mature, evolve and improve every time they release an album. Super excited for the full release of this album.

As an absolute Parawhore I was straight in as soon as I saw you'd looked at their new song! I was kind of relieved you liked it as they've had a lot of stick for how their sound has evolved. And you always spot interesting things in songs that I haven't noticed. Cheers.

Great funky vibes in this song. On a geeky note, you add a sweet and light Prophet 5 synth patch to that funk, and it sounds a bit reminiscent of Gentlemen Take Polaroids by Japan.

@@toughlifevirgina wait it came out in 1998?? ok, well one time i was on tour in france and was playing ‘in-store’ shows at record stores. at a FNAC or something they told me i could have some CDs for free. i asked about the cardigans because i loved gran turismo, and the guy was like, ‘aahh no, they don’t have anything new, sadly they were dropped by their label’.. and i don’t know whether that was the time i was there in 2000 or in 2006. and that’s the whole basis of my claim that they were dropped! so… what some french guy said, in a FNAC, in maybe 2000, or maybe 2006? 😄 well. on wikipedia it says “they went on a long hiatus”, which is kind of vague, so maybe they didn’t get dropped, they just had some other shit going on? hard to tell. so chaotic in the music business.

paramore is known for the "fake happy" depiction of depression (album: after laughter). going from the lyric "if i smile with my teeth... would you believe me?" to only depicting everyone in a certain music video with disturbing looming smiley faces, to overlining lipstick to the point where its not even convincing yourself anymore and you feel the person staring back in the mirror is an impostor. hayley herself stated she suffered from both depression and impostor syndrome and i find it astonishing how well she hits the nail on the head with visualizing it through both music and their respective videos.
