You can see and hear Will Ramos do a sing through on his own YT channel. He tours this with no problems and all his vocals are harsh. The Charismatic Voice had Will looked at with a throat cam in an academic setting. He's got no damage and is apparently a "unicorn". He's also just a great fun guy with the enthousiasm of an ADD puppy (in the best possible way)

The sad sounding parts are the black metal influences and the symphonic parts go hand in hand with that to make everything dark/sad. It really does go well with how Lorna Shore does it. I am by no means calling myself an expert on black metal, but for more: check out The Halo Effect and Gaerea

I grew up listening to Darkness, Queensryche, Rush, guys like that, because of my dad, and once I found my own tastes , I delved pretty deep into the death core, death metal scene. So genuinely, hearing a musician from the era that got me into rock, positively talk about the music I chose to enjoy, I gotta say, it’s, weirdly, cathartic, almost made me giddy. Haha

This is literally the best video on KZbin I've seen in months. Although this is a somewhat clouded representation of blackened/symphonic deathcore, Lorna Shore are easily one of the most revered deathcore bands of late and their symphonic influence just adds exponential depth to their sound. I trust you are familiar with Elizabeth Zharoff, aka The Charismatic Voice? Last year she built a beautiful relationship with Lorna Shore's vocalist Will Ramos and featured him and the band in multiple videos. In the most intriguing video of this pairing, she uploaded a video of a surgical camera being placed into Will's throat to record visuals of his physical creation of his amazing vocals. With the hairstyle and the boyish looks, he appears more of a pop or alt pop musician, yet the music he creates with his mouthpiece proves him to be an absolute vocal demon. One of my favorite videos of him released last year was one in which he had to listen to clips of different extreme metal tracks and decide whether the vocalizations were created by man or animal. That video shows an intimate view of his incredible personality. Anyway, do a little digging and a bit of research, watch Elizabeth's videos with him and just enjoy the amazing gift that he has given the world with his musical gifts.

As a massive fan of all “extreme” metal i think Will is really what is needed for the scene and has given it a character (for lack of a better word) that is charismatic and interesting that doesn’t just blend into all the other vocalists out there, and just a last note, Adam (lead guitar) is 7 string tuned to drop G. Another great video Justin

I tapped the thumbnail real quick. This kind of vocalising isn't very hard on the vocal chords, as they're hardly involved. In its basic form harsh vocals like this are formed by using false vocal folds or vocal fry techniques, although in these particular kinds of advanced styles techniques are mixed and even some true vocal chord activation does occur every now and then. But the gist of it is, these kind of vocalists don't have vocal chords of titanium, they are just very careful not to pump distortion through them.
@likepaintedkites Жыл бұрын
