Thank you! I totally understand. It's tough, I have a very limited pool to search from for photos that I can use online from a copyright standard. Then I have to find photos from that limited pool of the actual styles I'm talking about. Then I'm also trying to find pics of those styles on different hair textures etc. I feel lucky to find any pics at all, regardless of who they're on.

I’d love to see a video on trendy styles for curly hair. I have dense, fine to medium, high porosity, curly hair. I’m not asking for much, just a low maintenance, minimal product, collar-bone length style. 😅

This confirmed the cut I'll ask my hairdresser for next week. I have thin, fine hair and a high forehead and glasses so can't wear a heavy or long fringe. Curtain bangs on a chin length bob will add width I need on a narrow face while hiding some, not all, of the forehead. Loved the reasons why the different cuts worked or didn't for someone's face and hair.

My hairstyle is the blunt midi, didn't even know it had a name til I watched this. I told my girl to STOP giving me so many layers, it was to the point that my hair started looking and feeling so thin. I loved how thick my hair felt when I had a chin length bob so I told her to cut my now longer hair that style. Love it! Absolute game changer to this 50 year old!
@karenvc8005Ай бұрын
I've been doing the blunt bob for several years, now. No layers and a little shorter in the back. I've been growing it out to collar bone length. Added some curtain bangs, which I'm going to grow out, having decided my hair is just not thick enough for them at this length. Yes, the chin length bob to blunt midi is a game changer.

Particularly with the curtain bangs, you were so enlightening about all the factors that need to work together in order to pull of the main feature (in this case, "curtain bangs"). And stating that you might ask for and get curtain bangs but not understand why the cut isn't working for you... Bingo. I'd love more analysis like this where you compare thin/full faces and the details needed to pull off the main feature of different cuts. Nicely done - thanks.

I had the Rachel in 1995! Back then I had a lot of hair! Fine, but a lot of it! Now, despite how much it's grown out, I have to wrap an elastic two, or three, times for my pony tail! And, my hair is thick at the ends/back, but the top and temples have thinned horrifically.... For the longest time I just kept it in a short pixie that I could use some paste to tousle and spike. I love so many styles, but hair in my face, eyes, on my neck, are sensory issue nightmares! I have no idea what to do.

By the way, I 100% feel you about he names of the haircuts, because I experience nearly exactly the same thing as a bartender! I work in a tourist-driven area, and people come in and ask for a drink or a shot that some local bartender back home gave a goofy name to, and then they are disappointed when nobody knows what is in it. Similar to the haircuts, ask your bartender how they actually made the shot you like, so you can take that information anywhere!

@user-bn2lb5do6lАй бұрын
I love all your videos with the in-depth description of the cuts. Obviously, they look great on the facial structure of the models. My question is what length and style/styles are good for a mature woman (65, who doesn’t want an old woman haircut) who has fine, semi-curly(more frizzy) hair, and does NOT want to emphasize her sagging jawline, and thinning and hollowing face. I know , sounds like I am asking for a miracle haircut to replace what a facelift would do 😊, when a facelift is not possible😏.
@cIvy726Ай бұрын
This would be great information! The challenges you describe are shared by almost every woman over 55/60. The way hair texture changes from silky wavy to unruly frizzy is shocking; the jawline changes, even when subtle, change the shape of the face in a way that can be very unsettling, and the hollowing is real. I don't think you're asking for a miracle haircut, and no "old woman haircut" should not be a big ask. One of the most disturbing things about aging is that we do not look familiar to ourselves, but facelifts almost always look like facelifts and do not restore the sense of familiarity. The thing to do, I think, is to discover the hairstyle that makes you look fabulous - not younger, but vital, sassy, and gorgeous! And definitely NOT with a hairstyle that befits an old lady!
@lynnettegeopfert156824 күн бұрын
Love all your information!! I have very fine hair(aging is not being nice to my hair lol) it is chin length. I really like the look of it pulled back(can’t do anymore now) I was thinking a short pixie but worried that with the thinning in the temple area it will make it look bad. Was hoping for your input and any suggestions please.

I'm so ready for a pixie and for whatever reason can't bring myself to do it. I loved the red and more so the blonde pixie - I've been thinking the same thing, a cut like that would lift my cheekbones and face but also reveal my full, droopy chin and neck. But I don't style my bob. I try and immediately pull it back because it looks so drab and boring and makes my face look fatter and my hairline/part look thinner (I've lost a lot of hair this year). I like the color of my hair though. So there's that. 😜

I love videos that show some great hairstyles but often they just make me envious of the straight hair because mine is curly and I feel like there are just so few options. I wonder if you’ve ever done a video dedicated to different curly hairstyles or if not, if you could 🤞
