With Aura Edition available for the same price I'll better get Lunar Lake
@bellamartinez27888 күн бұрын
@JustJoshTech the issue with the HP truly is it's display. Not only is it not OLED, but it is also only 60hz compared to the Lenovo. Also, to the previous reply, I had the Aura Edition and the issue with that laptop was the processor not being multi threaded leading me to return that laptop and look for an AMD processor with at least 120hz display so that I can use it for light gaming. This Lenovo Josh showed off in this video basically ticks all the boxes except, I really wish it has wifi BE (wifi 7) as I just got a Wi-Fi 7 router for Christmas, but this is something I can live with. 60hz display is something I cannot and why the HP is close, but a miss for me.

@@22Tech Indeed. However, I believe this should become a non-issue soon as screens continue to improve. I have the previous generation of this laptop with the 5800U. After almost 3 years I had it die with a power supply that failed during a hurricane while I was on generator power. It fried the motherboard. Lenovo ended up replacing the motherboard for only the $140 warranty fee. Really good on them and its great to see them stand by their products. @Dutchovenderlinde8 күн бұрын
Idk, I had a Slim 7x with the OLED but returned it because of app compatibility and I was worried about screen burn-in over time. I got a Slim 7i Aura with IPS and while it is slightly worse, it still feels very color-accurate and black is still very black.
@andyH_England8 күн бұрын
IPS panels in 2024 are now excellent and anyone claiming they are vastly inferior probably have not tried the ones on the XPS 13 or Surface Laptop 7. I prefer IPS as I use mine for office work and browsing so it is kinder to my eyes with a white background. As these are ultrabooks then IPS are the best choice IMHO. If you are buying to watch media then OLED may slightly be better. OLED is the choice for gaming, but these ultrabooks are not really for gaming. Wait for Arrow Lake.

I think it is important to point out in those videos, when talking about SSD upgradeability, that some Lenovo laptops like this are coming with a 2242 form factor for the SSD, which limits *considerably* the model/capacity choices and availability for replacement. If Storage (SSDs) are important to you, some Lenovo laptops might be a non-starter exactly because of the 2242 SSDs - sure, you can replace it, but the choices are so little and so poor and so expensive that it might not be worth it.

@hai.do. nope. This exact one. Push your finger on the trackpad and tell me it doesn't flex inward by a few good millimeters. "Solid" lol 😂

@@someguy321 I agree that trackpad is cheapest part on this laptop. It does have slightly flex, but not "terrible". Except for that, the chassis and materials are good.

I thought the Intel 100 series was a mobile processor and the 200 series was a desktop processor. Now they are making a 200 series mobile version months later. Naming schemes and staggered releases make things such a mess.

Are you serious? Core ultra 200 mobile is announced a month before 200 series desktop.
