Mopar Sleeper Truck Was a HUGE Success on it's First Track Day!

The project Lunch Break 1972 Dodge D100 finally makes it's first test passes at the race track. While there, why not participate in a winter bracket race special?

My old truck is made out of leftover parts from ‪@talljohnsfunshop2722‬ , ‪@blakesmusclecar‬ , ‪@michaelyielding‬, ‪@rickseeman5679‬ and so much more! Last time I tried loading it on the trailer, the front brake shoes fell off.
This time, we were a little bit more prepared!

It's been a good week for Mopars! 😎 It was cold to race 50 degrees and windy. I didn’t tune a thing. Stayed on 32 degrees and the 750 AED is tuned from September of 2023 😂

I know you've been debating on what to do with lunch break... i say rub it down with some de-greaser and spray the whole thing with a satin or flat clear! Keep that aged patina stock! I had a 77 D 100 short box that I dropped a 340x6 in. Scary fast and fun!! Mine was the same washed out blue as well. Good times!

@JustMoparJoe If you want to keep the patina give her a light wet dry sand and a couple coats of clear. Wish I still had my 77. Other than the Mickey mouse fuse block it was a great truck. Now you got to go after that C10 farm truck!! Guy thinks he's fast, but only cause he is!!

I just love that damn truck. Love that CAM especially! Our boy Joe sure knows his way around a tree, too eh? Only thing that bugs me is all the black mold surrounding him in the cab.... Joe, if you'll get you a bottle or two of Spray Nine and hose that stuff down, it'll come right off - and the Spray Nine kills all known germs and molds. Works great on whitewalls too. 🙂 - Ed on the Ridge

@@JustMoparJoe Groovy, but I'm serious about the Spray Nine for the interior especially. It'll blow your mind how well that stuff works on stuff like that black mold.

@ that’s not black mold. I scrubbed the entire inside of the truck about 8 months back and wiped permatex rust converter on everything. Then I painted the floor pans with rattle can black. What you’re seeing behind me is the purple primer over the factory light blue paint. It was crudely brushed on to help slow the rust down the surface rust inside.

You do have to drive a truck, all the way to the end. Truck looks like it was happier the more passes you made. That first burnout was bronc. Sounds great, kinda like it will stay together the whole day. Good Luck at the Throwdown, should be a contender. Especially since I wont have Candy Kane there. 😉
