Picked up a T200 a few weeks back and am extremely impressed. It catches and plays with light like a perfectly cut diamond and is a joy to look at from every angle. Nice one Jody! Don't own either but always leaned more towards the S100 so glad it regained some points at the end :) IMO the S100 has some more graceful curve sand proportions in the case, just a touch less blocky. And your comment about the bezel-less three-handers too -- with the T200, less 'breathing room' between the indices and bezel makes this more apparent. But both really nice watches.

I've got to Respectfully disagree on a lot of the scores here. I understand a lot of this is subjective, but I think thestrongest disagreement for myself is the dial and hands, I think the 100 has to take it there. The text at the 6 position helps to make the dial more symmetrical and balanced due to the logo and writing at the top. The asymmetry and lack of any real writing on the 200 makes the dial visually unbalanced and very odd to me, as someone who on every watch I own has text at the 12 and 6
@gssf.gr2911 ай бұрын
As you say it's subjective but have the exact opposite view. I hate the text at the bottom of the 100 and it seems pointless and unnecessary to me. If it said something more relevant it might help but "Tough MVT" just sounds a bit crass to me. Just a shame they didn't put the date at 6.

Well done, Jody. I must say that I prefer the S100 stylistically over the T200, but it's so d@mn close. The deciding factor for me at the end of the day, would be the unsightly lip of the clasp edge, where it meets the bracelet. That would drive me banana's, brother Jody. As a certified "bracelet guy," the fit, finish and operation of the clasp are supremely important to me. Plus, the S100 is arguably, one of the nicest titanium watches that I've ever seen. S100 is great in design and color. The only thing I appreciate from T200 is the coating on the crystal... Small remark on the S100 bracelet, that one is also provided with two 2/3rd links (slightly bigger than half) for more fine adjustments than just the 2 holes in the clasp. Also, you need to get the clasp on the T200 checked, it's leaving way to much of a gap in the closed position.

Excellent review Jody. Well scored, however personal choice, I'd give more to the Stainless Steel, I'm not a Titanium fan, any I've had scratch too easily and look awful, even those hardened coatings wear off. It was a pleasure seeing both of these watches seconds hand hit most if not all of the markers though it looked like the S100 was hitting ALL the markers whereas the T200 missed quite a few at the top. I'd have equaled up the score due to that. Watching both however made me think of the Swiss made Tissot PRX I had, which only managed to hit two markers around the whole dial. Swiss does not necessarily mean good quality control or attention to detail. I like both but Stainless Steel is still my choice.

I thought the same thing about the seconds hand ticking precisely on the markers. I have a Casio Edifice "CasiOak", the number escapes me but it looks like a very slim, quartz AP Royal Oak, and the second hand hits most indices bang on. So... I absolutely disagree with the scores and it is clear that the S100 is the true out and out winner. Titanium is so much better for a watch and if you are buying a bracelet watch, you are never going to change the bracelet - that is why you buy a bracelet watch in the first place. You can use an app on your phone to correct a multiband 6 watch whenever you feel the need if outside a coverage area. Bluetooth is okay for now, but will it still work ten years down the road? The S100 is 98% in my opinion with the T200 92% at best due to the stainless steel.

All omega aquaterra 20mm straps fit the t200 also a lot of curved lug rubber straps from aliexpress look really nice for it. Strap monster this T200

My thoughts are if they just left that awful "tough mvt" text off the s100, id buy that one no questions.

If you are considering these great OCEANUS[ES?] there is also a T200SCE on EBAY with slate grey dial either on the same bracelet or a special pack with a black leather strap and grey NATO. I've also seen a T150 which has a different look again and 5mm of on the fly clasp adjustment.

Regarding weight, I have a circa 2015 model Certina DS-1 ETA 2842 watch made in titanium. 39mm size, 11mm thick. Model number C0064074404100. I wasn't keen on the titanium bracelet which feels quite flimsy. Swapped it onto a "kuki-flex" leather strap and when I weighed the watch it was around 40 grams, Quite impressive for a mechanical watch and despite owning watches many times more expensive it is still one that I grab quite often. You hardly know it is on your wrist.

I do like the look of the Oceanus range but do struggle to see whether they make any money from it. The fact that I’m a massive casio fan and never touched one suggests the market ain’t big!

I'm really tempted, I own one of the cheaper radio controlled Casios and I've always wanted something that's as reliable but with a bit more of a premium finish. I just don't know if I could get over seeing "ANUS" on the dial.

The S100 is superb ,I've had mine for a year can't fault it ,and you said only the T200 has half links , but the S100 also has half links
@absolutwater2 жыл бұрын
My S100 came with 2 "half" links who are actually about 2/3 of a full link so no problem getting a perfect fit. Since I played a little with the halflinks and the microadjust i can manage my wristswelling with just the micoadjusts during heatwaves, after salty food and now when it's colder, love this watch!

Great video! I have an S100 and absolutely love it. My watch came with half links for the band making for a perfect fit. Did Casio start or stop doing that?

The S100 has dual motors, right?

The sheer blueness of the S100 was too much bling for me. I was surprised how much It pops far more than even a good video can show. The weight of the S100 needs some adjusting too if you have steel watches, to me it felt a bit toy town. As a glasses wearer I also found it very hard to discern the text around the chapter ring of the S100. I had to keep a picture of it on my phone so I could set the times zones. I liked the intent of the S100, but in practical terms it didn't pan out. Maybe that is why the T200 was produced, but I've not seen or worn a T200 in the flesh so I can't offer an opinion on that.

I have the S100 black and T150 light blue. The stainless steel of the T200 is a deal breaker for me.
@G-rig69692 жыл бұрын
These are growing on me.. bit of a hard choice.. guess the stainless model t200 but also agree that it would nice if it was slightly smaller (and had crown guard, but standard 20mm lugs good). $550 AUD doesn't seem that great but a pretty good gada watch.

I'd like a 3rd option: call it a U300 and take the sword hands from the S100, put them -onto- edit: into a 38.5 mm rendering of the T200 and I'd call that a perfect quartz watch. I really do t like those silly and frivolous long counter balances on all the T200 hands. Love the pointed baton/fence post style, just hate that they extend past the pinion 🤷🏼🤦🏼
