I have to apologize to you Cassandra. I left a comment a few years back on one of your videos because it popped up on my recommended and I think the comment was somewhere along the lines of “it’s disgusting how you try to sexualize skin care and pretend to do videos about skin care when you’re really wanting to just be sexy and show your body off“. I am sincerely sorry and I was a very sad person at that time and if I know anything it’s that hurt people hurt other people. Since then I have been a subscriber and I’ve watched every one of your videos but I couldn’t do it with a clear conscience. My old scream name used to be B.TexMom-88. I am sincerely sorry for the comment that I left.

Cosrx is my favorite, I have the most K-Beauty products from this brand and have not been disappointed. I have mature dry skin with rosacea that has been worsening with age. I didn’t pay attention to sunscreen or skincare when I should have and it showed. This past year I began to focus on finding a wearable daily sunscreen that does not feel thick, slick or greasy, I am now fully converted to Japanese/Korean chemical sunscreens or chemical/mineral combinations. I began a skincare regimen and may have become obsessed, but in a good way. My skincare budget isn’t very big, but by watching for sale prices on K-Beauty websites and even Amazon, I am loving trying new products and keeping the ones I love most.

@@missbeaussie it should still be good! I might be wrong but I don’t think the expiration window starts until you open your product, so long as it’s a reasonable time frame. They usually take a long time to ship but I’ve never had it held up at customs ☹️ that’s a bummer when you’ve paid express.

They all worked well with me despite having oily, acne prone, and sensitive skin and I was over the moon to know that there's a brand that can treat my skin concerns and give it the boost it needs without causing me redness, stinging, and pimples. I 've noticed a lot of K Beauty brands include snail mucin products in their lines (COSRX included). Maybe I've missed one, but if it hasn't been made a vid on snail mucin (sourcing, ethics, opinions) would be fab. I have no fully formed opinion yet (other than stellar feedback from someone who had their own snail farm in their home) and there's no one in my life who's at a level to discuss snail mucins at this level with me. :D

I was wondering the same thing and this is what I found at COSRX... No harm to the Snails! The snails are placed over a mesh in a dark and quiet room, where they are left alone to freely roam the net and leave mucin in their trails. There is no external process applied or the mesh to force mucin production.

I don't think i've ever disliked any Korean products, except those that contain snail mucin. That Pyunkang Yul Facial Acne Cleanser is such a good cleanser. It barely foams up, but i love the texture and it does its job really well. As for CosRX, i personally LOVE their BHA Blackhead Power Liquid. It's one of the best products to minimize the size of pores. It's also really good for textured skin and it treats small pimples overnight. As for sunscreen, i currently use the one from a'pieu. It's so cheap. I bought the 100 ml tube for less than $7.

I was just talking to a friend who has nut allergies which I completely didn't think about could be an issue in skincare. She says it always makes trying new products a bit nerve-wracking even if she tries to look at the ingredients. I couldn't find much about this on KZbin and it would be great to hear you talk about it!

great video. Personally, I think that Purito acne patches beat the cosrx ones, they stick much better and are thinner.

Hi Cassandra, I love your videos! Just wanted to say that it was not the manufacturer that was scamming, that's the story they told the west. They know the real story in Korea...

Careful with traditional acne treatments for acne rosacea (salicylic acid, etc.)! Often a bad idea that risks damaging the moisture barrier without long term respite. Acne rosacea is a different beast from hormonal acne. My derm prescribed ivermectin (brand name Soolantra in the States, Rosiver in Canada) and it finally eliminated my pimply rosacea and considerably toned down my skin's redness. I know you're very knowledgeable about skincare ingredients, Cassandra, but from experience, I recommend you see a derm for your rosacea. OTC stuff doesn't work long term. In the meantime, simple is better for spot treatments: zinc oxide cream will soothe and shrink a rosacea pimple overnight. No need to add possibly sensitizing tea tree oil.
