Concorde അവസാനമായി പറന്ന് ഇറങ്ങുന്നത് കാണാൻ സാധിച്ച ഒരാൾ ആണ് ഞാൻ. ഇപ്പോൾ എന്റെ Bristol ലെ വീടിന് അടുത്ത് ഒരു museum ഉണ്ടാക്കി അതിൽ സൂക്ഷിക്കുന്നു ആ വിമാനം. ആളുകൾ കരുതുന്ന പോലെ ഒരു വലിയ വിമാനം അല്ല അത് . ഏകദേശം 10 13 വർഷം ഇവിടെ ഒരു airport ൽ ഉപേക്ഷിച്ച് ഇട്ട നിലയിൽ ആയിരുന്നു അത്. Crowd funding കൊണ്ടാണ് ആ museum ഉണ്ടാക്കിയത്

The bird took a bow at one of the landmarks of the city which is the suspension bridge. Emotional for many locals as this was part of citys history and many worked in Rolls Royse and Airbus factories which is here..

The soviet union fielded its concordski which flew ahead of the franco-brit jointly developed concorde. The soviet TU-144 was much faster than the latter one. The Tupolev was bit noisy and needed more maintenance compared to the franco-brit concorde. Apart from these flaws, the soviet concordski had a complex moustache canard and the better drooping nose fuselage. The world's first passenger concorde was the soviet concordski. After the disintegration of USSR, the United States bought the russian concordski for its NASA research program. It's said that NASA has successfully completed several modifications and transferred the technology to Boeing. Boeing is contemplating to field its supersonic passenger jet based on this design soon. The soviets developed TU-160 strategic bomber based on the same design and is widely used by the Russian air force and is still in use. Of lately, Putin made a sortie on the TU-160 aka the NATO designated name BlackJack. The Russian aircraft manufacturer is already working on the supersonic passenger jet based on TU-160. It has a backing from the Russian president himself.

TU-144 was technically the first SS passenger aircraft. It was bigger, faster and could also carry more passengers. These were the only merits. The flight was unstable, too noisy. It was said that passengers had to literally write notes between themselves to communicate owing to the deafening sound of the aircraft. It also received very less patronage as well. And the name Concordski was the name given by the Western Press as a mockery because it looked exactly like the Concorde. There are also theories which say that Anglo French Engineers deliberately had the Soviet spies get their hands on a faulty design such that their aircraft would be a total failure.
