K M Mani is a great politician, smiling tactician and intelligent practical thinker. He has introduced several welfare measures which are later emulated by other states and central government. His theory of toiling classes is obviously superior to Marxian thoughts( He would have achieved greater admiration if he presented these ideas in some mathematical economic models; academics would appreciate only things with a differential equation or regression models). He listened to people problem from all sections of society. Why Mani was given such a grand farewell even by the media who spread the word he is corrupt , dishonest? Because they know that they were hiding the good in Mani. Those who think his corruption is the major issue, let me tell you, you are short sighted to the maximum. Your eyes are trained not to look at big big corruptions that are going on elsewhere. Because at the root the media is corrupt. They show you only small corruption to hide larger ones. Till this month we have been seeing large, very large advertisement in all news papers and other media showing the enlarged face of a politician. How much money the country lost on this alone? Is it corruption? No media will say it is corruption. Why?
